Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag Walkthrough Part 21 – Sequence 4: “This Old Cove”
Edward Kenway has now taken over Great Igaguna and is using it as a hideout. As such, it can be upgraded. For now though, save your money for Jackdaw upgrades. Start by following James Kidd to the South and back into the Forest that covers most of the island. Just head for the marker and you should have little trouble getting to him.
Follow him into the side cave. Climb on the Mayan Stela that is in the center of the area that James led you to. Once on top, interact with it. You need to align the glyphs on the ground below you wit the stones and pillars there. Just spin the glyphs until the shapes match up loosely with the rocks below you. After that just nudge it into position. It will reveal a location to dig. Drop on down and head over to it. Interact with it and Edward will dig up the object. After that you are taken to the world map and a number of the Stelas are revealed on it. James has more to show Edward now so follow him once again.
This time you are lead into a hidden building. Follow James as he runs on up the stairs. These will lead up to an office that you can use for a number of things. The first thing revealed is the Templar Armor. To unlock this you will need to complete the various Templar Hunts found throughout the area. Each is its own self-contained side quest. Head on out of the house through either the stairway you came up or the front door. Either way, you need to head to the dock now.
On one of the piers you will see the marker for James. Head on over to him. He will reveal that he does know more about the Observatory than he has shown already. He gives Edward coordinates and explains that he will have something to show him there in a few weeks time.
Free roaming is getting better. It is still recommended that you take a little more time to complete the next few Memories as they are a chain of 3 that unlocks some useful weapons: Darts.
The only upgrade you should bother with right now at the hideout is the Harbourtmaster. This will make upgrading the Jackdaw that much easier.
