Okay, maybe it was cool, but sharp greetings like that are no way to break the ice.

....you can't hurt me for the puns, I'm on the internet!

Drayden further elaborates that a third legendary dragon, known as Kyurem, came to be during the same time period.  His family possesses a pair of items that were passed down from old times, now known as DNA Splicers, that seem to be related to the issue.  Juniper’s research has uncovered that these Splicers are from the same area as the Dragonspiral Tower materials, after all.  Drayden guards the Splicers himself, unwilling to trust anyone else with whatever potential or power the items may have.

He is concerned that there may be more than one pokemon involved, though- after all, both Reshiram and Zekrom are incredibly powerful, and if Kyurem exists, it may just be left over from the original events.  Whatever the situation is, the powers involved here are beyond even the usual scope for Pokemon (staggering as that may be), and it's pretty clear that these things- whatever they may be for- should be kept well away from Team Plasma G and their ilk.

Drayden seems ready to continue his explanation, but at this point, the gym leader is cut off by a ground-shaking explosion.  Turning, he rushes outside and you follow him, to discover a huge ship floating over Opelucid City.  Large panels flip aside on the ship, revealing a huge cannon that starts launching frost-inducing crystals into the city.  The giant ice spikes nearly fill each street of the city, and spread slippery ice around them, rendering the streets dangerous and any attempt to walk somewhat random.  The barrage ends quickly, leaving Drayden to summon his Haxorus so that he can knock aside the crystals blocking the street.  His dragon, however, proves strangely not strong enough to do so, and he recalls it.

Astonished, the Opelucid Gym Leader points out that there isn’t any damage at all on the massive crystal despite the strength his dragon was using to try and break it or at least push it aside.  He wonders aloud what’s going on, and is answered by the members of Team Rocket G, who virtually walk straight out of the ice themselves.
