Returning to the East side of the bridge itself, the first house you can enter holds a girl and her Gothorita, who run a rest stop that functions just like a pokemon center, or a Nurse or Doctor after they've been beaten.  This is a very handy rest point, so make sure you take advantage of it while you can.

The other houses on the East side of the bridge contain nothing of special interest (other than a mention that construction is ongoing in Undella, which you already know).

As you start across the main span of the bridge, you'll be stopped by an elder gentleman who shouts about you being his 1000th opponent.  He's managed a 999-win streak and wants to defeat you for his thousandth.  You can decline, but he'll just jump at you again next time you're here on the bridge.

Battle: Gentleman Stonewall (8600 Poke)
Opponent: Durant Lv 43, Lucario Lv 43

Defeated, the gentleman gets out of your way, declaring that he's going to try for a 1000-win streak again, but avoid you so you won't break the streak.

On the far end of Village Bridge’s central span, the first person you see is a bald man, and talking to him will add a beatboxing line to the bridge's music.  It's a surprisingly mellow beatbox, too, and well worth listening to.

The chef in the middle house on the West end of the bridge wants to battle you as soon as she sees you.

Battle: Baker Chris (1680 Poke)
Opponent: Heatmor Lv 42
