You’ll find your first patch of dark ‘doubles’ grass just below the cyclist.  The dark grass out here holds mostly the same things as the regular grass, though it foregoes Spoink and Numel and replaces the Trapinch with its first evolution, Vibrava, and everything in the tall grass is level 35-38.  This makes it an excellent opportunity for some additional training, which may prove vital if your team includes more than one member who evolves at or after level 40- this area and areas after it tend to be especially hostile to unevolved pokemon, even if they would ordinarily have the stats and moves necessary to hack it in the mid-level game.  Thankfully, Audino are still showing up in rustling grass, so you can use them to help kick your team up a little further.

Continuing to the East of the first biker you’ll find a second, riding a North-South loop.  She is also looking for a battle.

Battle: Cyclist Adelaide (1184 Poke)
Opponent: Unfezant Lv 37

If you brave the grass to the Southeast, you can find your way to the Strange House.  This haunted building (where the furniture frequently moves) offers you a few interesting pokemon opportunities, though only one of them is likely to be new.  Players of White 2 can find Solosis and occasionally Duosion here, and those with Black 2 can spot Gothita and the occasional Gothorita.  Both cartridges contain Litwick, Raticate, and Golbat within the house.  The new opportunity here is Banette, the evolved form of Shuppet.  This pokemon has slightly poor defenses and speed, vaguely okay Special Attack, and a fairly hefty Attack stat- though its naturally learned moves give it short shrift on physical attacks- and attacks in general, mostly granting the thing a number of status effects and stat-altering moves.  Its Abilities aren’t anything to rave about either (Insomnia to avert sleep and Frisk to tell you what your opponent is holding) and its TM options and Move Tutor teaching do alarmingly little to alleviate Banette’s lack of physical attacks.  Unfortunately, while its speed is subpar, it’s not terrible, so Banette doesn’t especially thrive in a Trick Room environment either.  This isn’t to say that Banette is outright bad- slightly weak defenses and a movepool not well specialized to their stat numbers are obstacles that many pokemon overcome- but there are few situations in which it particularly stands out, either.

While the pokemon within it are levels 31-34 and potentially useful, there’s a bit of other stuff to do in the house as well.
