Professor Juniper also tells you that she’ll stay here and keep up her field work until you come back with Skyla’s badge.  Since that’s going to be a tough fight, you should use every opportunity to train your team up (and that includes the tower itself), so up the ramp you go to the second floor.

Be aware that in Celestial Tower you’ll find pokemon wild that are level 27 on up through 33, which can make the climb a bit challenging if you take on too many wild battles.

The second floor of Celestial Tower contains only Litwick as wild pokemon, though that’s a bit like saying you’ve only got a Stinger missile.  Litwick’s final form (via Dusk Stone) is Chandelure, a Ghost/Fire type pokemon with either Flash Fire or Flame Body, both of which have their uses.  What’s more, Chandelure has a staggeringly huge Special Attack, capping out at a maximum of 427 with a Nature that boosts it.  While its HP aren’t great, its defenses are overall decent and its speed is comfortably mid-range, frequently giving it the opportunity to lay out the massive hits it promises.  Through its earlier forms and the Reminder Girl, Chandelure has access to a wide range of high-powered Special Attack moves, as well as the obvious tendency towards Will-O-Wisp.  This only gets more powerful with TMs and the Move Tutor at your disposal, giving it a nice array of attack types to boot.  Be cautious, though, as anything with a type advantage against it (mostly Water types, though Houndoom tends to have a field day) will ruin the pretty ghost light.

The first trainer you’ll find here is in plain view, right next to the gap in memorial stones to go further back in the tower.
