Shaking that off, Skyla turns to you and asks if you are going to go challenge her in the Gym, or head up to Celestial Tower to get some training done.  Without waiting for an answer, she heads off to her Gym.

Make note of the house to the North, as a boy there will tell you about a secret if you show him that you’ve got the badge from beating Skyla.  The next building to the west is the Cargo Company, where you can get a Sharp Beak from a man in the front room, give a girl a bunch of Sweet Heart chocolates and, if you have a Flying or Psychic pokemon, you can help out the guy at the back counter and he’ll give you some Net Balls as thanks.  The Sharp Beak is a +20% power Hold Item for Flying attacks, not the most amazing thing ever but not bad.  Net Balls are a type of pokeball that has an increased success rate when used on Water-types (particularly those that you’ve fished up with a Rod) and on Bug-types, so it’s got a handy dual purpose.

Leave the building and check around the airplane to the south and you can turn up the TM for Sky Drop.  Sky Drop is effectively a strange alternative to Fly and Bounce.  While Fly has a power of 70 and removes the user from battle for a turn, and Bounce is less accurate than Fly with a chance of causing paralysis, Sky Drop removes both pokemon from the battle for a turn, then hits with a power of 60.  This is both better and worse than Fly, as it means you can’t use it to make an opponent waste a turn ( an opponent who’s raised in the air can’t use a move and therefore can’t spend PP) and it doesn’t work on an opponent who’s not there thanks to Fly, Bounce, Dive, or Dig- but it also means you will always force the opponent to lose a move (and thus take an extra turn of damage from poison, burn, or other status effects) and it doesn’t give your opponent a free chance to use an item on their pokemon.  It’s also useful for pulling an opponent out of battle during a 2v2 or 3v3 match to prevent them from benefitting out of a ‘hit all’ or ‘hit all opponents’ attack- for instance, something with Storm Drain when you use Surf, or something with Lightningrod or Motor Drive when you use Discharge.

A Pokemon Breeder further South at the end of the runway is going absolutely rabid about Mulch, so bring him some if you want a reward.  Also among the greenhouses is a Max Repel item.  Out on the runway you can find a backpacker who is just as crazy about berries and will give you the ‘Big Harvest of Berries’ Funfest Mission.  The center of the runway has an invisible Flying Gem lying around between the two airplanes, and the rest of the attention here goes to the Gym, at the North end of the runway.  Don’t head there just yet, though- Celestial Tower awaits to the Northeast of the city.  Head out the way Professor Juniper did and you will find yourself on Route 7.
