There are some vending machines to the North of the stalls, and at the end of the East road you can find a man who will give you a Rocky Helmet.  This hold item causes the pokemon using it to deal a little damage (1/16 of max HP) to anything that hits it with a physical contact move.  On the head of the right defensive pokemon (especially a Rock and/or Steel type) this is a fairly nasty surprise.

The other stall here teaches Fire Pledge, Water Pledge, and Grass Pledge.  These, again, can only be learned by the starters from the various regions.  These moves are more modest than the Hyper Beam equivalents, but they have a special side effect- when used together by pokemon on the same side in a team battle (2v2 or 3v3) they will have an added effect on the field that hurts the opposing team somehow- not necessarily via damage.

To the south is a dock, where you can pick up a PP Up item.  This rare item can be used to increase the maximum PP of a move a pokemon knows by 1/5 of its original maximum.  You can only apply three of these to each move a pokemon knows, and if you replace the move the effect is lost, so make sure you save these when you get them- they're best used when your team is in its final form and likely mostly devoid of HM moves.

You can, by heading West, run off the docks into the Relic Passage.  This mysterious tunnel actually leads into the area that used to be the Relic Castle, and you can get some valuable training done here- go ahead in if you're at all interested.

The Relic Tunnel leads to the South, so head on in- and talk to the miner gathering shards here to pick up another Funfest Quest.

Boldore Lv 27, Gurdurr Lv 28, Raticate Lv 29

Head South until you reach the intersection, then head off to the right.  Follow the wall to the East, then take the first North to run across a backpacker.

Battle: Backpacker Randall (768 Poke)
Opponent: Raticate Lv 32

Be careful here- it may not look it, but Raticate is actually pretty fearsome- quick with a good Attack stat and a fairly nice movepool.
