The Last Of Us Walkthrough Part 35 – Chapter 5: Pittsburgh (Hotel Grand: Floor 1 to Financial District)

On the lower floor search the desk to the left of where you land. After that head into the room next to it, the men's room. If you need a Shiv you can find one in here. Head back to the hall then go into the following room, the lady's restroom. Head for the back left stall and look to the left of the toilet there to find a Firefly Pendant. Grab it then head on back to the hallway.

At the first intersection look to the right and search the desk for some parts or ammo. Continue on forward from there to the next part of the hallway. Look on the desk to the left as you move forward to find another Training Manual: Knots. This upgrades your Melee Upgrade to have another hit before breaking. Grab that then hop over the desk blocking Joel's path forward. Head into the next room. There you will arrive in the ballroom.

In the ballroom head for the right as soon as you get in. You will see a photo drop set up. Search around the front left of it for more Parts and some Crafting items. Ellie will be surprised by it so talk with her about it after she remarks on it. There are a few pieces to the conversation so take your time with it. After the talking head for the stage on the left-hand side of the room. Go over to the piano and interact with it. Joel tries to push it and calls in Ellie for a little extra muscle. Together they do manage to get it up against the wall so they can climb up it to the balcony above. Head over to the right and toward the next room. Be sure to also go to the left-hand end of the balcony. Joel can find Crafting Items and Parts there. With those in tow move into the next room. This is another Banquet room. Just head for the open doors in the back of the room to the left. Hop the opening to the left of the scaffolding. Joel will find a Bolt Action Rifle for Ellie to use. A cutscene runs and he gives it to her explaining how to shoot it before he drops down to the ground.

Time for a bit more stealth killing. There are 6 Hunters on the street with a Seventh lurks on the right-hand balcony, above the Sub Shop. They can be well spread but you need to work quickly to take advantage of that. The rest are all down on the streets and have decent lines of sight in the area. This means that you need to work from inside the shops to avoid getting notice as you wipe out this group of Hunters.
