The Plasma goon runs off, Hugh in hot pursuit.  Meanwhile, the chain-clad woman tells you she’s okay, and explains: Two years ago, Team Plasma suffered a schism.  One group follows N, who just wants to save pokemon, and the other, black-clothed group follows Ghetsis and attempts to take over the world.  She then invites you to the home she shares with other N-aligned Plasma members, on a hill by Driftveil’s Gym.

Finish crossing the smaller bridge and head into the first building with a door you see to the North- the Grand Hotel.  A man in front of the desk there will give you a Shell Bell if you’ve seen more than 70 different pokemon.  You can go up to two other floors as well in the elevator by the counter and talk to a few people, but there’s nothing else to actually do here.

Go past the Grand Hotel and take the route North to reach the Pokemon Center.  The road East from the Pokemon Center comes to an end over water, but if you duck to the South you can pick up a bottle of Calcium from an item ball by the end of the bridge.

The building at the edge, on the other hand, is... another hotel.  The place has to be a giant tourist trap for whatever reason to accumulate this many hotels.  Again, two upper floors are available, and up on the 25th is a man who will hand you a Big Root, which is a hold item that increases the amount of HP a pokemon gains from using a move that drains life, such as Mega Drain, Drain Punch, or Dream Eater.  Sadly, it doesn’t add HP drain to moves or anything like that, so its utility is relatively limited.  Most situations where you could use it, you’re better off with a Shell Bell, which will tack its own health drain onto every attack by the pokemon holding it, regardless of whether or not the move drained HP originally.

Another hotel waits West of the Pokemon Center, and in the lobby there is the Red Shard move tutor.  Also, a man on the 25th floor will give you an Air Balloon, which lets the pokemon holding it float as though it had the Levitate ability.  However, be careful using it, because if the pokemon takes even the lightest hit, it will lose the effect until it leaves battle.
