Tomb Raider Gear – Bows & Upgrades

if you aim for Stealth Kills and do not want to worry about Ammunition, then this is your weapon. The most basic bow is obtained early on. As time goes on and better bows are found this will let Lara use a greater variety of arrows.

Makeshift Bow: Coastal Forest
This most basic bow. Draw back the Bow String by Aiming, fire arrows by pulling the trigger and use the Right Analog Stick to zoom in on your target.

Upgrades:
Reinforced Limbs: Makeshift Bow (Cost: 250)
Reinforced Bow Limbs to allow for a stronger pull to increase damage.

Wrapped String: Makeshift Bow (Cost: 200)
Improves the Rate of Fire for the Bow.

Recurve Bow: Base Exterior and Mountain Village
This bow is assembled from 2 pieces found in the Salvage Crates of the Base Exterior and the Mountain Village. This opens up the arrows Lara can fire beyond the basic and Fire Arrows.

Upgrades
Key Ring Trigger: Recurve Bow (Cost: 250)
This allows for a second increase on the firing rate of the bow.

Compound Bow: Shipwreck Beach
The Compound Bow is a powerful tool. It improves your bow and gives you access to a number of upgrades. This also allows the next set of arrows to be used (Explosive). Once you have the pieces head back to Camp to assemble the bow.

Upgrades:
Plaited String: Compound Bow, Reinforced Limbs
Twisted bow string increases the damage done further.

Competition Bow: Chasm Monastery, Shipwreck Beach
Much like the Compound Bow, you will need to collect 3 pieces found in Salvage Crates and looting. One of the pieces can be found when looting enemies in the Chasm Monastery. The remaining 2 pieces can be found in Salvage Crates at Shipwreck beach. Once you have the pieces take them back to Camp to assemble the bow.

Upgrades:
Stabilizing Weight: Competition Bow, Plaited String (Cost: 300)
Stabilizing weights improve accuracy thus increasing damage as well.
