Crysis 3 – Weapon Modifications

This is a list of the various weapon modifications that can be acquired throughout the story. Think about what kind of weapon you need and go over this list to figure out how to build the best kind of weapon for your style of play.

Foregrip:
+1 Accuracy, +1 Range. Reduce Horizontal Recoil, Improves Aim Stability, Slows Weapon Draw Time
Allows for longer burst from automatic weapons and burst fire such as Shotguns.

Bayonet:
Enhances Melee Damage, Increases Weapon Draw Time
These are best for Close Quarters Combat when the weapon is equipped. These are best equipped on close-ranged weapons, shotguns and the like.

Double Magazines:
Every other reload is faster. No change to ammo capacity.
Better for laying down extended fire. Useful for longer engagements.

Extended Ammo Box:
Increases magazine capacity, Increases Reload Time
Does not change maximum ammo capacity, just allows for a longer firing burst. Does mean a longer reload, so reloading between battles is recommended.

Match Barrel:
+2 Accuracy, Increases first shot accuracy, Slower spread escalation in Rapid Fire
Your automatic weapons will remain on target a lot better with this. Mix this with the other stability mods and recoil can become non-existent in many cases.

Silencer:
-2 Range, -2 Damage, Reduces Firing Noise, Can be Shot in Stealth Mode
While it reduces the total amount of damage a gun inflicts, it also adds in the ability to silently take out enemies in an area. It will ensure that reinforcements cannot find you.

Muzzle Break:
+1 Accuracy, Reduces Weapon Kick
It gives the weapon a stronger muzzle flash and improves the accuracy of the first shot fired each burst. This is the best way to create a single shot style weapon from something that was not exactly intended to. Add in a long-range sniper scope.

Single Shot:
+2 Damage, -1 Rate of Fire, Adds Semi-automatic fire
This weapon mod gives Increased Accuracy and Damage. This is mean to maximize the damage from each bullet that is fired. It is a great piece for Sniper style weaponry.

Mini Typhoon:
Adds Mini Typhoon Firing Mode, Short Range
Adds in the ability to loose a maelstorm of ammo through the secondary firing option. It expends a huge amount of ammo.

Grenade Launcher:
Adds new Fire Mode to weapon equipped on.
Improved accuracy for firing grenades and an extended range for all grenades.

Reflex Sight:
+2 Accuracy, +1 Mobility
This attachment increases the accuracy of weapon while you are moving, giving a better view of the target though slightly reducing the peripheral vision while in use. This is best attached to mid or short-range weaponry.

Sniper Scope:
+4 Accuracy, +4 Range, -2 Mobility, 10x Magnification
Reduced Peripheral vision while using this modification. It is very inaccurate while moving. It is one of the key components for building a Sniper Weapon. Improving your single shot abilities is key to this in any regard.

Rifle Laser Sight:
+1 Accuracy, +2 Mobility, -1 Range
This improves your hip shot and mobile accuracy. Of course, the laser beam does give away your location to anyone who can track it. This is great for those who keep on the move while shooting.

Tech Scope:
+3 Accuracy, +2 Range, -1 Mobility, x2 Magnification, Thermal Overlay
While this Scope offers only a minor Zoom it offers a number of other features that makes your fighting in darker areas a lot easier.

Iron Sights:
Large Peripheral View, Precise Aiming, Less accurate while moving
Better aiming for short range engagements.

Assault Scope:
+3 Accuracy, +2 Range, -1 Mobility. 3.5 Zoom Magnification, Reduced Peripheral Vision
These are more common than Sniper Scopes but more bulky. They act just the same as a Sniper Scope, giving you the ability to make long ranged attacks on single targets.
