Your mother says that you should go look for Bianca, and checks that you have your Xtranciever with you.  She points out that it’s in your bag- if you want a brief tutorial on the bag, answer in the negative, but otherwise- again- just say ‘yes’.  Your mother explains that Bianca may be a bit lost, as this is her first time in the area, and reminds you of her immense watermelon head-topper.

Freed again, it’s time for you to head out of the house and into the wide world of Pokemon!

There’s a little bit of exploring to do next door, where you can learn a tiny bit about your rival.  Speaking of Hugh, once you start heading North he shows up immediately, accompanied by a little kid.  He asks if you’ve got a Pokemon yet, and complains of his boredom due to the lack of trainers locally.

While you retain the ‘silent protagonist’ position, apparently you tell him what you’re up to for the day- he gets very excited that you’re going to be getting a Pokemon, and his little sister encourages you to take the best care of any Pokemon you get.  Hugh looks to his sister for a moment before agreeing, then declares that he’s coming with when you go to get your pokemon- he has something he has to do, and he wants someone he can trust besides the Pokemon who is his partner to help him with it.  He confirms that he’s talking about you, and says you seem to have ‘good instincts’.  He sends his sister home and enthuses about the two of you going to find Bianca and get your Pokemon.

From here he’ll follow you.  Incidentally, his house is immediately North of where you encounter him, so you can go have a brief chat with his family if you like.  There’s also a Trainers’ School further North which has been under construction- it’s complete, actually, but nobody can go in until there’s a teacher there- Hugh points out that this can also be understood to mean a Gym Leader.  The Pokemon Center is also inaccessible- Hugh explains that he was just there a few minutes ago, and there’s no big green hat to be found there.  Further North you can find an intersection- to the West is a set of stairs leading to the Aspertia City outlook, as Aspertia City is where you are.  If you head up here, Hugh exclaims that he understands- the Outlook is the most famous place in Aspertia, so Bianca’s probably there having a looksee.  He steps off to the side to wait while you head up and get your Pokemon.  He’s right too- Bianca is there, big green hat and all.

When you go talk to Bianca, she exclaims over the view, gushing a bit and enthusiastically encouraging you to agree.  Ever the cheerful one, she introduces herself by name, and as the assistant to Professor Juniper.  She then asks you if you know someone by your own name.
