The Goblin race is a new playable Horde race introduced in the WoW Cataclysm expansion. You may have encountered goblins before as NPCs, but now you can play as a Goblin character yourself!

Death Knight (Unlocked only once you own a level 55 character)

Goblin Racial Abilities:
Rocket Jump: Lets you use your rocket belt to jump forward. (2 minute cooldown, shared with Rocket Barrage)
Rocket Barrage: Shoots rockets at enemies for fire damage. (2 minute cooldown, shared with Rocket Jump)
Time is Money: 1% increase to attack speed and casting speed.
Best Deals Anywhere: Best gold discounts from vendors, regardless of faction reputation status.
Better Living Through Chemistry: Alchemy skill increased 15%.
Pack Hobgoblin: Gives you access to a personal banker for 1 minute (30 mins cooldown). Unlock after completing the quest "Message for Garrosh".

Best class for Goblins:

Rogue: The Goblin's attack speed bonus, combined with their Rocket Jump ability,  makes the rogue class highly attractive to Goblins. Add the fact that they are small, so in PVP it will be more difficult for opposing players to click on your character. The Rogue class provides huge amounts of melee damage with combo strikes, as well as poison and stealth. (This class is not recommended, however, if this is your first character on WoW)

Mage: Increased casting speed, and higher base intellect, gives a good reason to pick this class. Powerful spells let you deal big amounts of damage from afar.

Priest: Needed in all parties for healing, the Goblin's increased casting speed and higher base intellect will let you be a better healer. The Alchemy bonus lets you supplement your healing capabilities.

Warlock: Higher base intellect and increased casting speed makes Warlocks a good option for Goblins. Your demon companion will allow you to solo easily.

Hunter: Another good option if you like to Solo. The long range attacks, along with your pet, will increase your chances of survival.
