Dead Space 3 – Crafting Weapons Guide: Frames
Introduction
When it comes to the Dead Space Universe, it is important to have the right tool for the job. This is especially true in this entry. You can create customized weaponry this time and there is a lot you can make with any number of given pieces.
When it comes to putting a weapon together it breaks down into a number of components: The Frame, Circuitry, Tool Slots, Tips, Attachments and Modules. By putting all this together you can build a very powerful weapon at any given point inside the game.
Frames:
This determines a lot about what the weapon can do. It determines how many Circuits and Tools can be attached to the device. A good example is using the Compact Frame with the Pneumatic Torch will make a Blowtorch. If you use a Heavy Frame then you will get a Flamethrower.
Compact Standard Frame
A standard compact frame for one-handed weapons.
Tool Slots: 2, Circuit Slots: 4
Location: History's Embers. C.M.S. Greely. Just inside the ship itself to the right of the airlock, opposite the Suit kiosk.
Heavy Standard Frame
A standard heavy frame for two-handed weapons.
Tool Slots: 2, Circuit Slots: 4
Location: The Lost Flotilla: Just inside the airlock.
Compact Elite Frame
An elite compact frame for one-handed weapons.
Tool Slots: 2, Circuit Slots: 8

A compact frame with built-in upgrades.
