Far Cry 3 Walkthrough Part 111 – Outpost Guide Part 29: East Ridge Camp

Approach:
Come at this Camp from above to the East. From this elevated Position it is easy to find the numerous soldiers. This Outpost has 2 Soldiers, 2 Sniper and 3 Chargers. In the camp, toward the Southern portion you will find a cage with a pair of rabid dogs inside it. You will find it has 2 Alarm Post. One in the Northern part, by the road, and a second to the East of the cage with the dogs. The 2 Soldiers generally stand by the Northern Alarm Post. There is a Sniper in each tower. One of the Chargers will largely hang out by rabid dogs. The second and third ones will be in the house to the West in the outpost.

Stealth:
Be sure you have a silenced Sniper Rifle with Zoom for this one. It makes it a lot easier to just deal with the 2 Snipers without alerting the rest of the camp or them alerting the camp of your approach.  With the Snipers down you can begin to move in. Slide down the Mountainside and over to the Western side of the camp. Move up to the first shack and face to the North. Throw a rock toward the building and watch the 2 Chargers. They will either investigate it or be distracted. If they are distracted then move into the camp and disable the alarms. If one moves in to investigate, get them with a takedown then go for the alarm and disable it.

If the charger by the dogs still lives he needs to be dealt with. Move into the hanger and find some cover. Throw a rock there to lure the Charger in and take him down. Now, turn to the North. Throw a rock just beyond the 2 Soldiers by the alarm post. This will distract them and let you easily slip by to the stairs leading up to where the 2 Chargers are. Use a rock again to distract one of the chargers and then move in for the kills.

With the chargers dead, head over to the West and wait for the Soldiers to return to their original position. Now just move in behind them and get any multi-kill take down (Chained, Gunslinger or Knife Throw) to complete the take over of the Outpost.

Combat:
Quickly make your way over to the Alarm post from the mountainside. With careful siding you can make it directly without being detected. After that, disable the alarm and use all the cover around you to engage the Privateers. Be sure to take a moment to free the dogs to get a little help. More often than not they will get at least 2 Privateers before dying.

Take Over:
This will unlock the usual Safe House, Fast Travel Point and Automated Store. It will also give you a new Sharpshooter Challenge and Wanted: Dead Sidequest.
