Far Cry 3 Walkthrough Part 73 – Paint It Black

Time to go and knock out Hoyt's Communication Network. You can either drive there from the Compound or Fast Travel to Charlie Camp which is slightly to the East of your destination. Either way, hit a Gun Machine and restock on everything. Be certain you have a lot of C4 as you will need quite a bit of it here. From there move in on your target. You will get  call from Sam to set up this part of the mission. You need C4, and a lot of it, to make it through here.

Move in toward the camp quietly and carefully. You have need to get through a good number of soldiers without raising the alarm if at all possible. If you have the materials, craft an Enhanced Perception and use it. You are up against at least 3 Soldiers (one who patrols mostly out of sight), 2 Heavy Soldiers and 2 Snipers here. Get close to the camp and you will easily be able to mark all the soldiers in a single go with your camera.

Approach from the Northeast and head into the bushes. Continue on a steady course and look for the trenches that are sitting just beyond the bushes on this line of approach. It is one of the best ways to get in. Drop into the trench. Move over to the right first to collect a loot chest. After that, head slowly out to the embankment leading up from the trench. Look to the right and you will spot the first of the guards. When he is at the far end of his patrol, near the trench works, take him down. After that turn to the West and head into the bushes that are nearby when the sniper above the bunker is not looking.

Just throw a stone and he will come in toward you. While there is a second guard who may spot you, he will not raise the alarm completely all the time. The concern is actually a sniper above the bunker itself. He cannot reach an alarm and his comrades do not seem to alarmed by his own shouting. This will cut down the sheer amount of enemies you would otherwise have to deal with and make it more than possible for you to sneak up toward the bunker basically undetected. Just keep to the bushes on the outside of the camp and you will make it through to the outer end of the bunker without much trouble.

Once you are close to it, you have the 2 Heavy Soldiers to worry about. The first one patrolling outside the barrier is the harder one to deal with. When he is close, throw a rock against the shack to lure him over to you. From there, perform a takedown on him to ensure a quiet kill. After that, keep to the bushes and you will find a small gap in the barrier around the bunker entrance. Use this to sneak up on the second Heavy and take him down.

With the second Heavy down, a third soldier may appear. With the bodies hidden there is minimal concern. Otherwise move quickly to get at the alarm to disable it. Quickly take out that soldier if you are concerned about it though. Now approach the bunker door and plant the C4 on it. Move over to the side and blast it wide open. Quickly run inside as the other soldiers appear to avoid getting mobbed by them.
