Dalgan is a major melee threat- he summons a fire elemental and will level you with hefty axe blows. If you have a stunning or interrupt effect you can use here, abuse it for all it’s worth unless you fancy a really drawn-out fight. He has a couple of grunts by him that are virtually impossible to lure away without also getting his attention, which is part of the reason fighting him tends to take so long. Expect to spend a lot of time falling down and getting back up. Thankfully, his knockdown attack doesn’t recharge all that quickly, so it still leaves you with plenty of time to lay into him. Just try not to get too complacent from fighting Dalgan.
Bellandra is a bit more interesting- while she fights at range as a warlock for a bit, once you’ve trimmed her health to about half she goes into shadowy demon-hunter form, and attempts to abuse you in melee. Her style shifts from damage over time effects to melee strikes when she does this, and given that it doesn’t terminate any lasting damage effects she already planted on you, her transformation can get a bit dangerous. Thankfully, she isn’t as defensively strong as Dalgan, and lacks his knockdown attacks. Instead her focus is offense, so have a bit of care. If others are around, pairing up with someone even without being in a party with them can make handling her immensely easier, especially if one of you is set up as a Tank. Alternatively, you can try to unload all your cooldowns into her quickly to drop her as far as possible before she shifts to immediate damage.
While dealing with these two, you’ll want to keep in mind that they are the first bosses in a new expansion, so you shouldn’t expect them to be complex or difficult if you have any remaining high-end Heroic or Raid gear from Cataclysm- they’re made to also be handleable by people who haven’t touched the Cataclysm heroics and raids and only have a little gear from the Cataclysm dungeons.
With both commanders down, it’s time to climb one last, shorter flight of steps. Here you’ll find the door that allows access to the interior of the ruins- and off to the left of it, half-concealed against the wall, is The Pickle, looking much more stealthy thatn he has previously. Sully thanks you individually for each of the tasks you’ve done- joking about the work his companions in SI:7 do all the way. Once you’ve turned in all four quests, he tells you that enough has been done to damage the army itself and it’s time to strike at the head of the organization.
The huge door he’s concealed by leads to the part of the temple where Ga’trul lairs. Your task here is to slay the warlock- and your reward is a shiny new piece of headgear, and more than triple the reward you’ve been getting from each quest so far.
