Once you launch, you get a bit of communications chatter- Rell and a few of the others are noting the unexpected: the presence of natives. Rell begins to talk about structures visible, but Rogers cuts him off, so he passes on the word to begin attacking. You’re zoomed in to a first-person view from the gyrocoptor, which seems to only be equipped with a set of rocket launchers. Thankfully, these are pretty easy to use- they fly straight forwards in the direction you point, and your turning only affects the weapon aim rather than turning the flight-path of your gyrocoptor. Use the rockets to shoot down the Horde foot troops and shredders until you’ve met your goal. Thankfully the soldiers cluster up, though the high durability of the shredders generally requires two strikes to down one. Don’t worry too much about getting hit, as the local Horde members seem to have the general puissance of Imperial Stormtroopers. Once you’ve completed those two goals, it’s time to move on to the sailing ships- a trip which is still steered by the game, keeping your task load very light for now.
When you’re released and allowed to fire rockets again, the coptor is already in position a short distance from your target ship (it’s a wonder that none of the Horde troops are trying to jump at you from on the deck)- simply use your rockets to shoot the ship once or twice and it will suffer a critical explosion. You then move on to the second ship, where it’s a nice and easy rinse-repeat exercise. With the two ships sunk, Admiral Rogers asks if the flagship has been sighted, but Rell gives her a negative on that- there’s no sign of the flagship or its crew. With that confirmed, Admiral Rogers gives the command to fall back to the ship and prepare for a ground assault.
This dumps you back on deck in front of a group of soldiers, with Admiral Rogers waiting at their head. She tells you that the town is aflame and their troops are routing. She insists that you get down there along with every available troop to complete the job- you are to grab a parachute from the edge of the ship and drop to the ground battle on Garrosh’ar Point. Once there, you need to meet up with Sully “The Pickle” McLeary.
If you like, you can stick around after getting this quest and listen in- Admiral Rogers gives her troops a -highly- vitriolic pep-talk, mostly about how the Horde are in general terrible and she wants revenge. This is probably old hat to you by this time, so don’t worry about it if you’re not interested in hearing. Either way, head to the edge of the ship behind the Admiral and grab a parachute. The ‘chute trip is automatic, so don’t worry about controlling anything- you’ll find that you land in a combat area, next to a dwarf who is tinkering with a deactivated shredder suit- Sully McLeary.
