With your gear all set and your goal in mind, it's time to board the Skyfire and set forth into the great unknown.  You can only hope that this doesn't turn out to be another Bermuda Triangle.

The ship itself is very easy to find, and can be reached without issue- so long as you have the necessary training to fly in the Stormwind area and a mount on which to do so.  Without those you’re sunk, so to speak, but it’s pretty unlikely you reached level 80+ and still can’t afford the license or mount- inexpensive gryphons can be found for 60 gold if nothing else has yet presented itself.  Either way, land yourself on the skyship and head for the top deck, where the Admiral waits.  You will notice he’s also accompanied by a Skymage and several members of SI:7, marking this as not only an important mission, but also a semi-covert one.

Admiral Rogers is a rather boastful woman.  Her initial greeting to you is pretty much a list of the ship’s current capabilities, particularly the complement of smaller aircraft and the cannon onboard.  She seems especially enthusiastic about facing down the Horde.  If you inquire about this, she gives a very brief explanation- she comes from Southshore, one of the areas hit hard by some of the earlier fighting, and her parents’ remains are buried there.

That answered, it’s time to let her know you’re ready to head out.  This gets you a new cutscene- the Skyfire coasting through the fog over Pandaria.  Not much is going on at first.  The area is shrouded in a thick coat of fog, making it impossible to even see if you are still over the open ocean or have found anything of interest. Admiral Rogers asks Rell what he can see, but the night elf replies much as you would- only cloudstuff is visible.  After a few moments, though, the fog clears up slightly- revealing several Horde sailing ships in the water, already attacking the Skyfire with a volley of cannon-shot.  The Admiral gives the order for general quarters, eager to engage the Horde forces in combat.  You are then set loose on the ship’s deck mid-fight, right in front of the Admiral.

Talking to her will get a bit of chilling information: although the intelligence didn’t indicate it, there’s an entire Horde base below.  Admiral Rogers, however, is insistent that the Horde cannot be allowed a stronghold on the shores of this land.  With that intent in mind, she wants you to hop aboard a spare gyrocoptor, which can be found at the near end of the ship’s runway, and launch it on an attack run- leaving you free to fire the weapons on the thing.  You’ll need to kill 60 Garrosh’ar troops and destroy 8 of their accompanying goblin Shredders- and finally, sink two of their ships: the Bladefist Reaper and the Stygian Scar.  Your reward for this is a fresh weapon of the gear level for the new content, as well as some gold and, of course, experience.
