Assassin's Creed 3 Walkthrough Part 38 – Sequence 7: Battle of Bunker Hill
Mount the horse in front of you to start on the path toward the final memory of this sequence. It has some interesting objectives. Follow the Patriot through the remains of Charlestown and to Putnam. Connor arrives during one of Putnam's famous speeches. After that he will speak with Connor. It is time to do the second crazy thing. Go charging into the fighting below.
Optional Objective:
Cross the battlefield without taking damage
If you want to make it across the battlefield without taking damage it is going to take a small feat of timing. It is very important to find cover and only move after the muzzle flashes have stopped. Whenever you hear calls for “Take Cover” and “Incoming Fire” are when you want Connor behind something solid.
Head straight down to the first embankment. Wait out the first assault there or make a charge to the left to get over to the second one. Now head to the right-hand edge of this embankment and then charge to the next one down. Once again move to the right and wait for the muzzle flashes from the main body of troops. From this one you want to head to the left and from here on that is the direction you want to go. Once you make it to the third embankment on the left, just wait for the next opening then dash for the treeline.
Optional Objective:
Limit Regular kills to 4
Once you make it to the trees start up the white stones that are shortly past that final embankment. From there you can start a tree running course that is very simple. Once you start head to the left and work your way through the trees. Move very carefully as there are patrols below that will immediately attack Connor. As long as he remains in the trees there is nothing to worry about. If he falls and is detected then just rush through the trees to the cliff face and climb up. Once he makes it to the top, he will break line of sight with the troops below.
Optional Objective:
Limit Regular kills to 4
Air Assassinate Pitcairn without being detected
Time to start in for the kill itself to finish this memory sequence. Move into the stalking zone at the top of the cliff face. Wait for the soldier who patrols nearby to be close and perform a stealth assassination on him. While not necessary, it makes the rest of it immensely easier.
From there work your way over to the left and through the stalking zones. Move through to the end. You will notice beyond them a hay cart a guard patrolling the area. Wait for the guard to pass you by (or just kill him) and move into the surrounding stalking zone to the left. If the officer is still alive, wait for him to pass by again and then move into the stalking zones between the tents.
Move from tent to tent until you find another stalking zone. Follow that long stalking zone until you reach the officer's tent (the big one). If the officer is not there then move to the far corner of it and wait for him there. Once he comes up, perform a corner assassination on him. Alternatively you can slip into the stalking zone and assassinate him from there. The choice is yours. Now, head to the tree at the end of that former officer's patrol. You want to climb up into that, turn to the right and jump to the next tree. From there, climb to the edge and jump over to the flag pole. It is from here that Connor will get his chance to assassinate Pitcairn. The two talk and from there things will wrap up with one more cutscene. Thus Sequence 7 will end.
