This turns you to a new instance of the area, where you are also standing beside the steady flow of Shen-zin’s lifeblood. Jojo joins Ji there, though Aysa is nowhere to be found. Ji awaits your attention, ready with a new quest, as the two fend off the remaining Deepscales that assault every so often.
The more active monk tells you that while the wound is more dire than he anticipated, it can still be healed. He tells you to gather healers to close the wound so as to save Shen-zin Su. He insists that you do whatever you can to locate, retrieve, and protect enough healers to patch the massive gouge in the turtle’s shell. Aside from your life, you also have a new pair of leggings to gain from it, so get moving!
The area is now littered with a steadily incoming assault of Deepscale Ravagers, from whom you must protect the healers you can find. The Ravagers pack a heftier blow that will be familiar to any who play as Warriors, but otherwise are again unremarkable, if distressingly numerous.
Accepting the quest creates a small meter in the bottom-center of your screen- this indicates how close to complete the healing job is. Your task is to find and talk to the healers scattered around the wound. Some of these healers are pinned under metal plates, which you must flip away so that they can head off to the wound. Others are stuck in combat with the Deepscale Ravagers- for these ones, you’ll have to beat away the attackers, and then send them away while you continue to hold off the Deepscales. The more healers available at once, the faster the meter fills- but you don’t actually have a set time-limit. The quest gets faster, of course, the more people are in the same layer of the zone as you, but that’s all.
The Deepscale Ravagers are distressingly tough, but they thankfully lack much in the way of noteworthy special effects to lay on you- the worst they can do is a slightly-stronger attack that adds a little damage over time, or a slight defensive debuff. This makes the fights relatively simple. The difficulty comes in what they are doing- while they ignore the ones pinned under chunks of exploded ship, the healers who stand are garnering rather a lot of attention. At this point, each of the standing healers is being assaulted by a fresh lizardthing every few seconds, which is far too rapid an aggregation for a single player to keep even one of them constantly cleared of attackers. If you see other people in the field, it would be a very good idea for the sake of your own time constraints to help them with whichever healer they have chosen to keep clear. You’ll also want to keep an eye on the healers rescued from wreckage; while they are not subject to the same assaults, they do ‘fade’ after a time and thus cease healing the turtle. In order to keep that rate up, you will need to return to the locations where they were and rescue them over again.
