Aysa rushes off immediately, scaling up the decks of the ruined ship towards where Ji waits with the explosive device created by Makael. You’ll need to follow her up the stairs of the South half of the wreckage, to where Ji awaits. She stops a short distance from the other monk, and tells him that his plan risks killing Shen-zin Su. Ji, however, insists that this is the only option available: as Shen-zin will certainly die if nothing is done about the wound and no other solution has presented itself, this is the route he will take. You of course don’t contribute anything- whether or not you have an idea, the world of Azeroth at least will never know- this is instead about the conflict between dangerous contemplation and dangerous action.
Aysa insists that should Ji stop this, another method of dealing with the issue may be found, but he retorts with the inquiry if she means for nothing to be done at all- after all, doing nothing certainly risks everything. She points out that the chosen action risks everything, but Ji is far more at peace with the idea of dying having tried than with the idea of dying for havign taken no risks. Both positions are quite understandable, particularly given that either could all too easily lead to the death of the turtle and loss of not only him but the entire Pandaren island that resides upon the back of his massive shell.
Aysa backs down, again stating that everything could be lost here, but if he believes this is what he has to do she will not stop him. With a sigh, she admits she hopes he’s right. Thus, with thought conceding the point to action, Ji reaches over and triggers the clunky control panel that Makael Bay’s rigged up for the occasion, firing up the lights attached to the top.
The two monks leap overboard the wreckage’s edge (you can follow them or not according to your preferences), leading to a cutscene.
You get to watch then, as the explosives, now armed, count down a short timer- and then detonate. With the firing of black-powder rockets, the rear half of the wreckage launches free of Shen-zin’s shell and into the air over the ocean, where another blast splits it in two and tertiary explosions render it mere kindling to be scattered on the water.
This, though, exposes a greater threat: a vast wound on the side of Shen-zin’s shell, loosing a steady flow of blood from the hole in the turtle’s carapace. Ji looks on it with some trepidation after he recovers his balance and senses from the blast, and then approaches Aysa, who kneels by the crimson river, and tells her that Shen-zin can be healed- but she declares that he has killed pandaren and turtle alike, and leaves with the wish that he find some way to forgive himself for what he has done. A bit staggered by the degree to which his compatriot’s view conflicts with his own, Ji does not stop her.
