On arriving at the hut, you find the hermit- as well as a tauren and a few other random Horde members. They are all geared lightly at most, and carrying improvised weapons when they have weapons at all. Many of them are injured, and even the ones who are on their feet are generally shoeless and wearing bloody bandages for a shirt- and it’s fairly sure they have some kind of a story to tell.
The Tauren, one Korga Strongmane, asks the hermit, Wei Palerage, if you are friends of his. He responds that he has no idea who you are, but it’s unlikely that you are enemies- Pandaren ‘don’t really come in any bad flavors’, according to Wei. Korga introduces himself as a former prisoner of the Alliance who is now free- but unarmed. Aysa exclaims over that, declaring that if the crashed ship -is- from the Alliance, they must be contacted immediately. She takes Jojo with her as the two run off into the jungle, heading to the ship. Ji, meanwhile, explains to Korga that the ship must be removed from where it currently lies, embedded in Shen-zin’s shell. He asks if the tauren will help, should you and he aid the Horde crew. Korga assents to the exchange of aid, and brings up his engineer- who is still lost in the jungle somewhere, and will need to be found before any real headway can be made.
Ji, eager as ever, volunteers your help without really asking you, telling Korga that it will be done.
Now you need to speak to Wei, to complete your quest. He explains that evil is somehow coming from the seas, invading the forest. Whatever this is, it is worse than the usual tigers that inhabit the area, and apparently it is not only unsafe here, but extremely likely to be fatal for any Pandaren to wander around on their own.
Because of this, the tigers are also worked up- and that makes them dangerous to any survivors of the shipwreck on Shen-zin’s shell. Since you want those who have lived through the wreck to also live through the trek to Wei’s hut, you will need to clear out some of the tigers. This quest, Preying on the Predators, requires that you kill 9 of the local tigers. Be aware that, as cats, they do tend to stealth themselves now and then, so don’t be surprised if you turn around and suddenly there’s a tiger attacking you from where you just saw no cats at all. They roam rather widely too, so that empty space may actually turn out to be tigerless.
You’ll also spot a few Horde members here and there, usually heading out from the hill that Wei’s hut is on and then returning. They’re up to something that you’re going to be joining in on, for the sake of helping out your new friend, Korga.
