The Evolution of Eevee – Black and White Version 2: Glaceon

Glaceon
Pokedex Entry
Nation: #471, Unova: #98
“It lowers its body heat to freeze its fur. The hairs then become like needles it can fire.”

Glaceon was introduced in the Fourth Generation of Pokemon games. It was one of the numerous Pokemon whose evolution depended upon location. While it did suffer from some gaps in being able to evolve in the games that followed, Black and White Version 2 make it possible to acquire all the Eevee evolutions in one game again. Just have an Eevee level up on the bottom floor of Twist Mountain and it should evolve into Glaceon.

Glaceon has suffered some in the Metagame. It is best in a Hail team where either of its abilities can help keep it going for a long time. Most will be built to take advantage of the evasion it can use. It has access to all the Eevee moves making it a surprising versatile Pokemon. It has statistics though of something meant to tank lightly but dish out some serious damage. Give it either Ice Beam or Blizzard (or both) and you will see the massive damage it can do. With a boost to Speed it can start to sweep very effectively. It also has some useful moves it can Baton Pass along as well.

Unlocking the Hidden Abilities:
With the addition of the Dream World, it has become possible for all of the forms of Eevee to unlock a hidden ability of their own. If one of the rare Female Eevees has its hidden ability unlocked, then it can be bred and it can be passed on. If not, then you must use the Dream World. Log in and send the desired Eevee into the Dream World. Have it play the “Play to Befriend a Pokemon” game. This will unlock the hidden ability when the Pokemon wakes from its sleep.

Abilities:
Snow Cloak – Raises the Pokemon's evasion by 20% during a Hailstorm.

Hidden Ability:
Ice Body – 1/16th of MaxHP is restored each turn when it is hailing.
