Guild Wars 2 – The Orders of Tyria

A storyline that every human participates in after helping their childhood friend and facing their major regret. Once you complete those storylines you are summoned before Queen Jennah. Head to the Palace Waypoinit and go to the North. There you will find the entrance to the instance.

Once inside you have a cutscene to wade through:
Scholar Josir: “Finally! Thank Dwayna, you're here. I am Scholar Josir of the Durmond Priory. We've been expecting you.”
Agent Ihan: “You're here to make decisions, and that's exactly what we need.”
Crusader Hiroki: “For once, Ihon's right about something. I'm Hiroki, a crusader with the Vigil. The Risen forces are active in Lychcroft Mere. There are missing villagers; mostly children. We've got to get soldiers there! The Vigil has squad standing by. They're ready to sweep the area on your signal, Advocate. Just give the word.”
Josir: “Advocate, I'm sure you can see that such an approach can only cause more problems. The Durmond Priory has a wondrous device called the 'Mortis Verge.' We believing in using intellect to fight the dragons. Save on manpower, you know – and we have achieved some marvelous advancements.”
Hiroki: “Your device is theoretical! Untested! You want to risk children on that? Vigil steel is tried and true.”

This is purely a choice mission, in case it was not obvious enough. Now you can take some time to talk with both Scholar Josir and Crusader Hiroki. You also have the option of talking with Agent Ihan but he does not offer a plan at the moment. Use this time to review which plan you want to follow.

Crusader Hiroki: “I hate to rush you, 'Hero's Name', but it's time to decide. We need to find those children.”
Hero A) “Can you tell me a little more about the Vigil?”
Horiki A) “The Vigil is a militia composed of all the races of Tyria. We fight the dragons, and we protect the innocent.”
Hero: “That's good to know. I'm looking forward to learning more.”

Hero B) “Can you remind me about my choices please?”
Hiroki B) “The Vigil wants to make a direct military strike into the swamp. The Durmond Priory wants to go in quietly and use a new magical item to protect the children.”

Hero C) I'm ready to decide.”
Hiroki C) “Excellent. Tell us: do you want to join the Vigil's full offensive, or go with the Priory's clever new toy?”
Hero: “I've decided to go with the Vigil's plan.”
Hiroki: “Now we're getting somewhere. My squad and I will wait for you outside Lychcroft Mere. We'll find those kids – and crush some Risen along the way!”
Hero: “You Vigil stypes don't stand still for long, do you? I like that. See you there.”

Scholar Josir: “I hate to rush you, 'Hero's name', but it's time to decide. We need to find those children.
Hero A) “Can you tell me a little more about the Durmand Priory, first?”
Josir A) “I certainly can! We are Tyria's most elite scholars and archaeologist. We search for lore to use against the dragons.”
Hero: “That makes sense. Can I ask another question?”

Hero B) “Can you remind me of my choices again, please?”
Josir B) “The Vigil wants to make a direct military strike into the swamp. The Durmond Priory wants to go in quietly and use a new magical item to protect the children.”
Hero: “Right. Thanks for reminding me.”

Hero C) “I'm ready to decide.”
Josir C) “Excellent. Tell me, do you want to join the Vigil's full offensive, or go with the Priory's clever new device?”
Hero: “I've decided to go with the Priory's Plan.”
Josir: “Splendid! I'll meet you outside Lychcroft Mete and we'll get started. Congratulations on a wise decision!”
Hero: “Looking forward to working with you, Josir. We'll have those kids safe in no time.”

Finally, you can talk with Agent Ihan, who represents the Order of Whispers:
Agent Ihan: “It's not that my order doesn't support you. We just like to have more information before we act. Until then, best of luck.”
Hero A) “Can you tell me a little more about your organization, Ihan?”
Ihan: “The Order of Whispers seeks to subtly influence the world's races to make them unify against the dragons?”
Hero: “Influence? Do you mean manipulate them?”
Ihan: “We pull string, yes, but isn't that the nature of politics? Our goal is to fight the dragons, and that is a noble purpose.”

Hero B) Can you tell me more about the situation in Lychcroft Mere?”
Ihan B) “Children search for firewood in that marsh. We need to get the innocents to safety before the Risen find them.”

Hero C) “I hope cowardice isn't a common trait in your order!” + Ferocity
Ihan C) “Cowardice no. Wisdom, yes. Enjoy the swamp, Advocate.”

Hero D) “Can I persuade you to tell me a bit more about what you'll be doing while we're gone?” + Charisma
Ihan D) “Well, I suppose it wouldn't hurt. We're going to be looking into someone that went missing just before the Risne appeared. It's probably nothing. Really, that's all I can say.”

Hero E) “Will the Order of Whispers be working with me in the future?” + Charm
Ihan E) “Absolutely. You'll be seeing a great deal more of us in the future. Good luck.”

When you have made your choice here are the paths that open to you: Following the Vigil's plan you will embark on “Brute Force”, if you follow the path of the Durmond Priory you will start on, “Mortus Virge.”
