Guild Wars 2 – Assist Sango Swiftwing

“Collect Volcanic rocks, investigate suspicious mounds, and destroy fissures.”

Head to the Southwest of the Cereboth Waypoint inside the Cereboth canyon. There you will find Sangdo Swiftwing overlooking the valley within.
Sangdo Swiftwing: “I could use your help, traveler. These beast are unlike anything I've seen before, and they're starting to spread across the wall.”
Hero A) “How can I help?”
Sangdo A) “Eliminating the destroyer's volcanic burrows should solve the root of the problem. Also, suspicious rock mounds have been cropping up. We should investigate those.”
Hero D) “Anything else?”
Hero B) “Tell me about the tengu.”

Sangdo D) “With new weapons, my people could turn the fight on the destroyers. The shards of . volcanic rock in this area would be perfect material. Please bring any you find to me.”
Hero B) “Tell me about the tengu.”

Hero B) “Tell me about the tengu.”
Sangdo B) “We are a people of honor and structure. Long ago, tengu clans were widespread throughout the world. Then the Great Tsunami of Orr's rising heralded our journey home, to our city”
Hero: “So you can from within the wall?”
Sangdo: “Yes, the wall encircles our city and provides privacy and protection. But when destroyers began burrowing under the wall, I was sent out here to look for a solution.”

Hero C) “Tell me about the wall.”
Sangdo C) “The wall was erected after the Great Tsunami, when the tengu clans unified and became the four houses. We do not allow anyone but tengu inside, and few of us ever leave it.”
Hero: “Four houses?”
Sandgo: “Fighting the Orr armies necessitated our cooperation with one another. The houses – North, South, East and West, like the winds – allow us to preserve our unique cultures while unifying as a whole?”
Hero: “So where do you live now?”
Sandgo: “We live in Dominion of the Winds, just across the wall. It remains the only completely tengu-controlled location in existence. We do not leave the dominion, and outsiders do not come in.”

With everything explained it is time to start searching for the various objects the Sandgo would like you to find. The first, volcanic rock can be acquired by defeating any of the destroyers in the area. When you have collected a few, then bring them back to Sandgo. He will reward you with more progress. After the quest, you can still find volcanic rocks to turn in.

Just to the South of Sandgo you will find a massive number of Destroyers to take on. Defeat them to earn progress. While this renown quest is active, all will drop Volcanic rocks. Just take them on and be very careful on how many you pull. Destroyers remain decently powerful and it only takes a few to overwhelm a good variety of the classes.

Finally, there are the suspicious mounds. Investigating them will turn up Destroyer Crablings that you can fight. Once in a while they will turn up the stronger and more durable Destroyer Crab so be warned.

When you finish the renown quest you will get the letter, “Destroyers at Mafic Core” with 1 silver and 16 copper:
“We are thankful for your help at mafic core. Destroyers have become a great problem for my people. Many have been called to action to fight the destroyer invasions. We must be vigilant in the face of growing danger.

“May our ancestors provide us with guidance and strength – Sangdo Swiftwing
