Guild Wars 2 – Help Lionguard Micah keep the Black Haven area safe for travelers

“Check bushes for bandits, clear mud wallows, and cull hostile creatures from the area.”

Head into the Black Haven to the South of the Delanian Waypoint. Just to the West of the entrance to the Black Haven you will find Lionguard Micah. Talk with him to learn the finer details of what you can do to help him:
Lionguard Micah: “It's my job to make sure Black Haven is safe for travelers. But the bandits have been recruiting and I can't get the necessary support. Will you help me?”
Hero: “Sure, what can I do?”
Micah: “The foothills south of here are packed with foul beasts and bandits. They road itself can be dangerous, too. Clearing out any ambushes along the way would be a great help.”
Hero: “Have you heard any reports of trouble on the road?”
Micah: “A Bandit roadblock has been sighted along Lion's Arch road, just across the river west of here. I need someone to break it up soon, or the bandits could attack passing merchants.”

Head across the bridge to the West and turn to the South. Walking along this road you should stay in range for Micah's for most of the area. Be sure to keep in range as there are plenty of bandits to be found and killed around here. There are also plenty of bandits to be found to the South of the Haven as well.

Now, for those who want to remain closer to the haven, it is possible to circle it and find plenty there. There is no lack of threat in its immediate vicinity. If you head along the Western side of the haven you will find a Basilisk that has a short respawn and a nasty temper. Beat on that for some easy renown. There are plenty of other hostile creatures that will attack in the area. Some of it is just look around. Head down along the river to the West of the Haven. There are a lot of Drakes there that you can kill as well.

While you are searching the area, especially along the road, keep an eye out for bushes that are moving. These conceal bandits. Just interact with them to draw the bandits out. They are not too hard as they are par for the mission.

When you finish this renown quest you will get the letter, “Black Haven is Already Safer” with 98 copper:
“The roads to Black Haven are much since you took care of the bandits in the area.

“Thank you. Your help has made a world of difference – Lionguard Micah”
