Guild Wars 2 – Deadly Force

This is the fifth story mission for the Iron Legion Charr. This is the mission for those who chose to back up the Blood Legion application of the Ghostbore Weaponry and had the Cannon prepared for battle. Head over to the Ashford Forums. It is not hard to find the entrance to this instance.

Once inside the instance head over to the East. You will find your contact, Galina Edgecrusher, waiting for you there:
Galina Edgecrusher: “Welcome to the party. Tribune Brimstone is here to observe, and Warmaster Labofski is marshalling his forces as we speak. It's Ghostbore cannon time!”
Hero: “Agreed. But we need to take out  Labofski himself. Duke Barradin taught us that ghost offensives fall apart without their leader.”
Galina: “I've already planned for that. I've got a squad ready for inserstion into the catacombs to run a search and destroy on Labofski. This is Cimmara. She'll be leading the catacomb squad. You're on the cannon, providing cover fire. Clear her a path to Labofski, and her team will do the rest.”
Cimmara Pistolwhip: “And shoot fast, maker. I'm going straight for the warmaster's throat and I don't like to wait.”
Hero: “Just give the cannon time to reload, and you won't see a single ghost between you and your target.”

Ghostbore Cannon:
Ghostbore Shot: “Fire the Ghostbore cannon at target location. Effective against single targets.”
Cooldown: 5s
Scatter Shot: “Fire the Ghostbore  at target location. Effect against multiple targets.”
Cooldown: 5s

Head over to the East, and a little North, to reach the moved and upgraded Ghsotbore Cannon. Start wirh a volley of fire on the oncoming wave of Ghost forces. After that, let it reload and fire a round or two at the trebuchets. Each trebuchet seems to take 2 hits to be destroyed. Remember that while firing on the waves of Ghost attacks to lead the shot some as it takes a few seconds for the volley to impact. As the Ghostbore Cannon has 2 modes of fire, one for each type of foe, this should be a lot of fun. There are a lot of waves of ghost you need to blast through. Just keep shooting until the next cutscene begins.

Galina: “Damn it! Cimmara went too far too soon – again! The cannon can't support her inside the catacom. It'll bring the entire thing down on her stupid, hard head.”
Hero: “if I can't fire the cannon, I can find Cimmara and her squad, and I'll make sure Labofski is slain.”
Galina: “I'm not letting you get killed for Cimmara's stupidity. Tribune Goreblade would break all my limbs and hang me by my tail.”
Hero: “I'm not asking permission – I'm making sure one gung-on soldier doesn't ruin my weapon's first combat outing. I'm going in. If I don't come back out soon, open fire with the cannon and level everything in range.”
Galina: “And you call my soldiers my soldiers gung-ho? Fine, I'llhold off for as long as I can. Good luck, maker. Now, get going!”

head tot he East then turn to the North and head toward the marker. This shows Cimmara's location inside the Old Duke's estate. Head over there with your warband and tear through all the ghosts in your way.

Once you are past the outer defenses you will find Cimmara and there are plenty of ghosts to fight with her help. After that you go right onto Labofski himself. Just pound away on him. He is one hardly fellow and he packs a solid punch too.

When it is all said and done head out to the East. You will find Galina waiting there for you.

Galina: “Labofski's down and the ghosts are dispersing, just like you said. Now I owe you for the cannon and saving Cimmara.”
Cimmara: “I didn't want to be saved. And I don't like owing people my life. Why did't you just fire on my position?”
Hero: “Because I don't like wasting ammunition. And if we fired on every Blood soldier who charging in without thinking, there'd be none of you left.”
Galina: “Watch it, maker. Blood Legion gratitude only goes so far. In fact, I'm going to settle our debt right now. Cimmara has no warband. If you want her, she's yours. I'll formally reassign her to your warband and we'll call it even.”
Hero: “I can always use a skilled recruit, provided she can follow orders. From now on, Cimmara, you fight when I say, and only when I say. Clear?”
Cimmara: “oh, I can follow orders. If I have to follow yours to prove it, I will. Get ready, maker. Your Iron warband is getting some much-needed fresh Blood.”
Hero: “Outstanding. And you're about to take a crash course in following orders. Fall in, soldier. We're moving out.”

Collect your reward and you will finish out the storyline. That concludes the Iron Legion storyline.
