Guild Wars 2 – Scrapyard Dogs

This is the second storyline mission for the Iron Legion Charr. Here you must travel to the Scrapyard and hunt up the pieces you need to assemble the Ghostbore Musket.

When you arrive inside the instance, head to the Northeast. Head over to the marked charr, this is Luccia Wildeye. She has either survived longer than the rest of her warband or the only one who stayed actuve., she is not too sure. She has been watching over the scrapyard for a while as a gladium. She tells you that it is fine to go ahead and dig up the parts that you need for your experiment. She will warn you that oozes sometimes will be hiding inside the barrels.

As you head around the scrapyard you will find a lot of things to scavenge through. Look around and loot the various barrels of gun parts that you can find. You will encounter a few Rust Oozes, Lvl. 3. Start by looking to the Southwest and sweeping along the edges of the area to the Northeast.  Be sure to look around thoroughly as there are some barrels that are tucked away deeper into the scrap heap.

When you have collected all the gun parts, the Flame Legion will show up and attempt to wreck your day. They know about the Ghostbore musket and want to stop you, claiming the plans as their own. Initially 2 show up, a Bladestorm and a Stalker, both Lvl. 4. Defeat them and you will have another pair of Bladestorms that will come charging in. The fight will continue on for a while, with more and more Flame Legion showing up. Beat them all down until a unit just approaches Luccia. Once they do then things are finally over.

Luccia Wildeye: “Flame Legion? Here? Good thing I had my sticky shot ammo! It's buckshot coated in lye. It hits, sticks, and burns!”
Hero: “That's great stuff! Hey … my warband could use another experienced weaponsmith. Interested?”
Luccia: “Interested? Are you serious? I've been stuck in this scrapyard as a gladium for months – I'm desperate!”
Hero: “Serious as an edge on steel! Once my Ghostbore musket passes muster, I can bring you in. But first, I have to test it.”
Luccia: “Craze Steelgrinder patrols out by the Barradin estate. He loves provoking the ghosts. You should test it there!”
Hero: “Perfect. I'll update Tribune Goreblade, then assemble the Ghostbore musket and head for the Barradin estate. That should provide a target-rich environment.”

Bhuer Goreblade: “Ah, here's my new up-and-comer now. I was just telling Tribune Brimstone about you. Nothing good, of course.”
Rytlock Brimstone: “Don't you believe him, soldier. In fact, Tribune Goreblade was bragging about some special weapons project you're heading up.”
Hero: “I have an update on that, sir: I've acquired parts and ammunition for my Ghostbore musket. I've also arrange a weapons test. But there's a problem. I've seen Flame Legion twice inside the citadel. First, they were after my plans, and then they showed up at the scrap yard to ambush me. They want my weapon, and they want me dead.”
Bhuer: “Flame? Inside the Citadel? Grrr. That steams my ears. How did they find out about your weapon design.”
Rytlock: “I told you, Bhuer, the Flame commanders are nervous. If this musket makes ghosts take longer to reform, we'll need less troops to fight them. If that happens, Smodur will allocate more soldiers against the Flame Legion, and we'll finally wipe them out. Mind if I watch the weapon tests?”
Bhuer: “Sure, just stay behind the gun this time, Brimstone. I'll invite Tribune Torga of the Ash Legion, too. She'll want to see this.

You break from the cinematic and from there it is time to get to work on your gun:
Buer: “Time to construct your weapon, Legionnaire. Use my workbench right behind you. Iron Legion never rests.”

With that you will finish out this mission. It is time to move onto the next one, “Ghostbore Musket.”
