Guild Wars 2 – Spilled Blood
This is the third mission in the Ash Legion storyline for the Charr. You must defend the new Centurion from the “Iron Legion's” assault.
You can get started toward the instance heading to the Mustering Ground Waypoint or just head to the Vault Waypoint (which entails a little more fighting) and head up and to the East or get to the Temperus Waypoint and just head to the South to find the instance. Either way you will find the entrance to the instance.
Your sparring partner has a comment to start the mission. After that, just head forward and into the first cutscene:
Hero: “I'm looking for Wroda the Quick. I need to talk to her right away.”
Wroda the Quick: “Keep it down! I'm Wroda, and if these Blood Legion soldiers see us together, they'll know something's up.”
Hero: “Flame Legion assassins are on their way to kill Centurion Tornpaw, disguised as Iron Legion. We have to warn the centurion.”
Wroda: “Centurion Tornpaw is in the command tent – just look for the meanest soldier there. But good luck convincing here, she's full of spit and rumble.”
Hero: “I'll do my best.”
Head to the North and to the large standing structure in the Termperus area. You will find Tornpaw on the middle bridge giving a prep talk. Head on up to her and give her the news:
Hero: “Centurion! Tribune Desertgrave sent me to warn you. Flame Legion assassins have targeted you for elimination.”
Centurion Volante Tornpaw: “An Ash soldier? In my camp? Ah … Wroda. I suspected you were one of Torga's spies. Get out of my sight, both of you, before I pull your teeth and use 'em as caltrops.”
Hero: “Aren't you listening? I just said that the Flame Legion ha stolen uniforms and equipment to disguise themselves as Iron. They're coming to kill you.”
Volante: “I heard you, but I'm not Ash-trash. I don't snivel like a scaredy-cay at the first sign of danger. Now, tell me their plan.”
Hero: “War between Blood and Iron. They think your death will break the alliance, and they have a well-planned attack coming. You need to be ready.”
Volante: “I always am. You two stick around and you'll see. I'll even let you mop up after the fight.”
She will head for the entrance of the area. There you will see 3 Iron Legion Imposters approaching. All the oncoming Flame Legion are around Lvl. 5. They question her as to what she is doing. After that it is time to take on the 4 Flame Legion attackers. After they go down, then a second group of Flame Legion Soldiers will appear and attack from the North end of the compound. As they start to thin, a third group will come up from the South.
After you make it through the waves then they will start a barrage on you. Move away from the red circles into whatever clear area you can find to avoid the worst of the damage. This is followed quickly by more Flame Legion soldiers showing up and attacking you. These are stronger, with one Ignition Shaman at Lvl. 6. You need to beat him and all the others down. Once that group has gone down then a second barrage will come in. In it will appear a Veteran Flame Legion Lava Shaman Lvl. 6. He is the strongest thus far. Tear into him and make sure he goes down quickly. When they are down it is time for a cutscene:
Volante: “That was harder than I thought. Hmph. I'm forced to be grateful to Tribune Desertgrave … whether I like it or not.”
Wroda: “Centurion, I'd like to explain –”
Volante: “Shut it, Wroda. How long have you been Torga's pawn? You're a spy and a traitor. You're lucky I don't gut you where you stand! I strip you of Blood Legion rank. You're finished, gladium. Now get out of here.”
Hero: “I'm sorry Wroda. I don't know what you were planning to do, but I have an idea: join my warband. You're loyal enough to out yourself a a spy just to keep a centurion safe, and that's the kind of soldier I need.”
Wroda: “Hey, you're the one who had the initiative to stop the Flame Legion. I'd be honored to join your team.”
Hero: “Outstanding. Pack up your gear, and I'll see you at the Black Citadel.”
That will be time to finish out the mission. Next up is the mission, “The Flame Advances.”
