Guild Wars 2 – Aethervolt researchers require temportary assistants

“Test pigment transmogrifiers on red  hylek for Aerixx. Collect ooze samples for Tramma. Fight any Inquest spying in the area.”

Head into the Southwestern area of Brinsbane, into the Venlin Vale. All this is to the East of the Mrot Boru Waypoint. There you will find Organizer Aerixx who you want to talk to so you know what is going on around here that needs help:
Organizer Aerixx: “Finally, an assistant. You are just in time for my latest round of pigment transmogrification testing on hylek. It's messy and violent work. You might just survive.
Hero A) “Let's start with the pigment research.”
Aerixx A) “The transmogrifiers only work on red-skinned hylek. Lure them to the recording equipment and use the device on them. If you find yourself in peril. The device can be used as a weapon.”
Hero: “Thanks!” - End conversation

Hero B) “Anything else you need help with?”
Aerixx: “Oh, pigment studies are beneath you? Fine. Tramma across the lake to the north is collecting ooze and Jordekka is plants with her plants west of here. Go, be useful.”
Hero C) “So, what are you working on again?”
Aerixx: “We've observed that hylek tend to have different aggression levels based on their pigmentation. The local red-sicked hylek are dangerous, and I want to test their behaviors when their pigment changes.”

Hero A) “Yeah, yeah, whatever. Let's do that pigment thingie”
Aerixx A) “The transmogrifiers only work on red-skinned hylek. Lure them to the recording equipment and use the device on them. If you find yourself in peril. The device can be used as a weapon.”

Hero D) “I just want to know what all these camera-things are.”
Aerixx: “Those 'cameras' are complex aetheric devices used for tracking active experiments. That reminds me, fix any inactive ones you find out there. There's a good assistant.”
Hero C) “So, why are you researching hylek, anyway?”
Aerixx: “We've observed that hylek tend to have different aggression levels based on their pigmentation. The local red-sicked hylek are dangerous, and I want to test their behaviors when their pigment changes.”
Hero D) “What was with the camera-things again?”

Pigment Transmogrifiers:
Pigment Destablizer: “Changes the pigment of red-skinned hylek. Causes blindness.”
Range: 425, Cooldown: 4s
Pellet Shot: “Shoot out a small pellet to attack your opponent.”
Range: 1,200, Cooldown: 1s

Now that you properly armed it is time to head out into the nearby swamp and try out this Pigment Transmogrifier. Wherever you find a Red-skinned Hylek, take aim and fire with the first option. It will blind them briefly but it will also enrage them and they will attack. They will not stop until you are dealt with. Another thing you can do for Aerixx is look around the shores for Mud Wallows. Dig them up to get credit and reveal a hylek underneath. As long as you change the hylek from Red to Blue, you will get credit.

Head to the North of where Aerixx is to find Tramma. He is in a Power Suit on the Northern shore of this area. He wants you to collect balls of ooze and bring them to him, depositing them into the Ooze Processors he has sitting there. The good news with the Oozes is they will generally not be too aggressive. Still, start throwing attacks at them and they will come at you. If you open up an Ooze puddle then you will find one inside waiting, ready for a fight. You will find that you get credit for taking out the ooze as well as turning in the sample.

When you finish with this quest you will get the letter, “Most Satisfactory” with 98 copper attached:
“I happily report to you that, with your help, my colleagues and I have been able to make several key discoveries in the realms of biomimicry and faunotheric manipulations. We've attached to this letter a gift for your services. You helped us advance our research, and for that we're grateful – Organizer Aerixx”
