Guild Wars 2 – Help the C.L.E.A.N. krewe

“Kill Inquest, destroy chaotic shards, defeat chaos beats, and detoxify researchers”

Head into the Thaumanova Reaction from the Survivor's Encampment Waypoint found in the Greyfern Expanses. Once inside the reaction you need to find CLEAN Researcher Borpp inside his HAZMAT golem:
Borpp: “Your assistance is requested. Chaos beasts and Inquest must be eliminated, and addlepated researchers must  be decontaminated using Clean-o-matic device
Hero: if you give me one of those Clean-o-matic things, I'll give it a try.”
Here is your Clean-o-matic. Excercise caution. The safety is off.”

Clean-o-matic:
Cleansing blast: “A blast of energy tuned to negate the effects of chaos magic.”
Range: 300, Cooldown: 1s
Rifle Butt: “Knockback your foe with the butt of your rifle. Be careful not to break it.”
Range: 130, Cooldown: 15s

It is time to start looking around for 2 things. Addlepated Researchers (they are coughing) and chaos beasts. The Researchers need to be hit with the Cleansing blast. After that they will be fine and you will get credit for it. This only works on each researcher once. Most researchers need a blast. If you find one downed, revive them for some credit then restore them to proper help with the Clean-o-matic.

While you are in the reactor you will notice a strange variety of creatures. Defeat everything you come across not on your side. All of the chaotic beasts will give you credit for defeating them.

Finally throughout the area you will find chaos shards. Simply interact with them to smash them. They will knock you back regardless. The question is whether or not they will unleash a Chaos Beast on you.

When everything is done you will get the letter, “Order out of Chaos” with 94 copper attached:
“Exemplary work! Truly astounding! You didn't do so bad either. Hah! I kid, of course; you've really helped us make some breakthroughs in the field of chaotic magic. If we could just figure out what the Inquest is doing in that lab, I know we could come up with some solution to the madness they created. But, for now, we just need to deal with that's in front of us. Keep up the good work! - Borpp”

Return to Borpp when you get the chance as he will be selling the following Karma Items:
