Guild Wars 2 – Help Hrouda maintian the ecosystem in spite of Dr. Bleent's research

“Eliminate rogue oozes, break ooze containers, provide ooze gunk for Hrouda's Hylek Oozeshooter, return evidential wurm eggs, clean up ooze remnants, and protest Dr. Bleent.”

Head to the Southwest of Dr. Bleent's camp and up the slope there. You will find PR & T Senior Investigator Hrouda waiting there. Talk with her to learn more about the situation about the area:
PR & T Senior Investigator Hrouda: “Bleent's ooze experiment is ruining PR & T Esoterics … not to mention the local ecology. I have a protest station near his work site. I urge you to pick up a sign and protest Bleent.”
Hero A) “How is he ruining PR & T esoteric's work?”
Hrouda: “Bleet was once a respected member of PR & T. Some, including Bleent himself, called him brilliant. But then he started calling himself a doctor without any of the requiste diplomas or title certificates.”
    Hero: “Title certificates?”
    Hrouda: “Forget the paperwork, there's a protocol for ooze testing and he's gone off the deep end. Now he's combining oozes that are uncontrollable. If I find the proper evidence I can shut him down for good.”
    Hero: “Is there anything else I can do to help?”
    Hrouda: “Law 65-5B-7D of the Arcane Council states that only vested member of a krewe's research team can sign petitions for a scientific cease and desist. If you help me, you'd qualiofy to sign the petition.”

Hero B) “How is he ruining the ecology?”
Hrouda: “Wurms are vital to the jungle ecosystem. Bleent's escaped oozes kill wurms, and are probably corrupting their eggs.”

Hero C) “What can I do about the oozes?”
Hrouda: “Destroy any ooze you see. They don't belong in this jungle. They leave distincr, ahem, remnats behind that you could clean up. The remnants are dark, oily, and absolutely disgustuing.”
    Hero: “Is there anything more I should know about the oozes?”
    Hrouda: “Bleent's ooze containers must be destroyed along with the oozes. Bring any gunk they leave behind to my hylek oozeshooters. The shooter will launch these former oozes into the abyss!”
    Hero D) “What about the eggs?”

Hero D) “The Eggs?”
Hrouda: “If you find any wurm eggs you could bring them back to me. If I can get proof that the oozes are contaminating the eggs I can put and end to Bleent's “business,” if you can call it that.”
Hero C) “What about the oozes?”

Head to the North, as when you passed through, there was an abundance of Oozes to be found. If one of the nearby events start they are also a great help. Bleent is good and keeping a lot of oozes around. Just defeat as many as you can. In ways this is the easiest way to complete the renown quest simply because of the abundance of oozes.

Once any ooze is defeated it will either form up as a puddle that needs to be cleaned up or it will just become ooze gunk. While it is ooze gunk, grab it and take it up to Hrouda. Not too far from here you will find her hylek ooze shooters. Just interact with them to launch the ooze gunk you have on hand into the Abyss.

The ooze containers are found all over the camp. Destroying the container will release the ooze inside. The good news is until the container is destroyed it will be trapped. They take a little damage from the release but that is about it.

Also, at the base of the slope leading up to Hrouda you will find the protest station that she mentioned. Interact with it to get a protest sign. Now use the third option, “Protest” to gain progress for the renown quest. It is simple and easy, great if you are well below the recommended level.

Finally, there are the Wurm Eggs. This are found to the North of Bleent's camp. You will find discolored wurm eggs here and there. Collect them so they can be brought to Hrouda. In addition to that an ooze will spawn from where the egg was collected. It is not a bad way to have a controlled amount of oozes coming at you.

When the quest is complete you will get the letter, “Thank You” with 68 copper:

“Your efforts are much appreciated, 'Hero's Name.' Unlike Bleent, you understand and respect the order and regulations for ooze testing. With more sensible minds like yours on my side, I just may be able to stop Bleent's research some day – Hrouda”

Return to Hrouda and she will now be selling the following Karma Items:
