Guild Wars 2 – Help Shoon's salvage krewe deal with Inquest interference

“Find and disrupt the nearby Inquest lab, and root out Inquest spies in Shoon's salvage krewe.”

Head South from the Old Golem factory Waypoint and to the Obsura Incline. There you will find Shoon on a balcony overlooking his krewe. Talk with him to learn more details about what it is he wants done:
Senior Researcher Shoon: “This was once Rata Sum's primary golem factory. My krewe is scouring the site for useful artifacts, as are the Inquest. You're not a spy are you? Hmm. Your appearance doesn't suggest it.”

Hero A) “Inquest? Spies?”
Shoon: “Ah, I'm afraid so. They have a hidden lab nearby and send agents to infiltrate my krewe. Think you could root them out for it? It would also bring me great pleasure if you could disrupt their lab
Hero: “Sounds easy. Is there anything else I should know?”
Shoon: “If you get into Inquest's lab, nab their data crystals. That'll help us figure out what they're up to.”
Hero: “Got it. Is there anything I can do around this site?”
Shoon: “My team has been infiltrated by Inquest spies disguised as Salvage Specialist. Weed them out, will you?”

Hero B) “Tell me more about this place.”
Shoon: “The site contains old golem parts and other items, mostly buried. Foundry workers once dumped their refuse here.”
Hero: “Why did the foundry close down?”
Shoon: “Politics. Now each golem krewe has its own lab. It's easier to protect their secrets that way.”
Hero: “There was something else I wanted to ask” - back to main selection

Hero C) “What exactly are you looking for?”
Shoon: “Old, forgotten junk for a project of mine. I can't imagine why the Inquest is interested in the site.”
Hero: “There's something you're not telling me.”
Shoon: “True. There is, in fact, something valuable here. Help keep the Inquest away while we retrieve it, and I'll share it with you.”
Hero: “What do you need me to do exactly?”
Shoon: “Up a hill to the South of here is an Inquest lab. Throw a little mayhem their way, it'll keep them busy.”
Hero: “What can I do to set them back?” - leads to Hero A

With that all covered, it is time to start sorting things out for Shoon. First head to the North of him to investigate some of his krewe. Look for Suspicious Salvage Specialists. They are the only Salvage Specialists that you can talk to. All of the Inquest agents are going to be lvl. 6. Just tog through the quick bits of dialogue and it is onto the fight.

To find an Inquest lab, head to the Southwest of Shoon's location. You will find a gate that you can break down. Smash it down and head into the lab. You will get credit for the gate, any Inquest danger signs, Extinguishers and anything else that you smash up inside it. Once you make it through the entry way into the lab itself, look for stands with spinning crystals above them. These are data crystals that you can collect and turn into Shoon for some credit. It takes a fair number to make a huge dent but all the Inquest that are getting killing along the way help a lot.

Once the renown quest is complete you will get the letter, “Fantastic Display of Ingenuity” with 60 copper:

“I'm impressed with your work, 'Hero's Name'. The inquest are keep on disrupting my salvage site, but you proved to be an even bigger disruption to them. I've overheard plenty of griping and bickering from Inquest, which is music to my ears. I know you will continue to accomplish great things – Shoon”
