Guild Wars 2 – Ghostbore Artillery

This is the fifth story mission for the Iron Legion Charr. This is the mission for those who chose to back up the Ash Legion application of the Ghostbore Weaponry and had the turrets prepared for battle. Head over to the Ashford Forums. It is not hard to find the entrance to this instance.
Once inside the instance head over to the East. You will find your contact, Snarl Backdraft and Rytlock Brimstone, waiting for you there:

Hero: “Tribune Brimstone? I thought you'd be with the Blood Legion forces.”
Rytlock: “Galina's got the troops well in hand. I wanted to see your new Ghostbore Turrets in action.”
Snarl Backdraft: “Look alive, you furry maggots! The maker's here, so we can get started. Get ready to mvoe out on my order!” We've secured a forward camp, Legionnaire. Your Ghostbore turrets are there, waiting for deployment.”
Hero: “No more waiting. The more time Warmaster Labofski has, the bigger his army will be. We strike – now.”
Rytlock: “Soon, Labofski's army will be nothing but a ghost of its former self.”

Just as you leave the Forum, you will be attacked by a squad of 8 Ascalonian Ghost, all of which are lvl. 10. Get into the fray in your best style. Loot the bodies to as it is a great source of Glittering Dust. Once away from the Forum a second, small group of Ghost will attack you. There are only 4 in this group.

Continue on to the North from there along the path. You have another small group ambush you. Kill the 4 of them, and press on. There is another group of 4 none too far away. Press forward until you fiond the forward camp. You will find Zemzer Undercut waiting there.

Hero: “This is your forward camp? What happened here?”
Zemzer Undercut: “Ghost 'happened.' My warband was cut down before we could fight back. I barely made it out alive and they're right behind me.”
Hero: “Everything's going to be all right, kid. C'mon, join my warband for now. I'll position you with my soldiers and the Ghostbore turrets.”
Zemzer: “You got it boss. I owe Labofski and the ghost mice an ocean of pain.”
Hero: “You'll be an asset. Just keep your dagger in your hands and your eyes sharp. This isn't the farhar anymore.”

Talk with Rytlock after going over things with Zemzer. He explains very well as to what is happening next. First you need to position your warband as is more appropriate for their abilities. Talk with them to learn just where they want to go.

Luccia Wildeye might be close to deaf but she can still shoot with the best of them. Place her on high ground where she can get a great view of the battlefield.

Zemzer Undercut excels as melee range combat. As mentioned he has daggers and knows how to use them. Place him near the turrets or where there are going to be a good number of ghosts.

For your sparring partner, listen to what they have to say. Dinky, Maverick and Clawspur like getting in the fray. Reeva does better at mid range, as does Euryale.

Place the turrets in any open areas that need reinforcements. With Zemzer up front, it cannot hurt to have one backing him up. Set them for the most coverage you can get. Once that is all in place it is time for the ghosts to come charging in. Fight them off to the best of your ability and let your warband with the aid of the turrets take care of the rest. There are at least 3 massive waves of Ghosts you need to fight through with the aid of the 3 turrets. Just remember, as long as there are other targets, the ghost will not attack the turrets. Watch your warband and keep them up between the waves.

After a lot of fighting you will make it through to to the Warmarshal. He is hardly subtle since he will call things out when coming in. He is a tough one to beat but that is because he has a good bit of health. Just pound away on him with the aid of the turrets. It will take some time to get through but you will best him and he will be down for a long count.

Rytlock: “I'm impressed. You've brought the charr one step closer to putting these ghosts down. For good.”
Hero: “Thank you, Tribune. Hey, Zemzer? You did well out there. If you're looking for a new warband, I'd be happy to have you in mine.”
Zemzer Undercut: “Are you kidding? You saved my life and helped me avenge my warband. I'd be honored. I just don't know if Snarl would allow it.”
Rytlock: “He'll allow it. Torga owes me for some information I gave her on the Flame Legion. After the Ash Tribune says yes, Snarl won't argue. Goreblade will be proud, Legionnaire. You're sure you don't want to upgrade my cannons, too?”
Hero: “Ha! If I had the time, sir, I would, but right now, I've got to concentrate on my warband. We've still got a long ways to go.”
Rytlock: “A pity, but that's the right answer. I'll keep en eye on your progress, so don't let me down. Dismissed!”

Collect your reward and you will finish out the storyline. That concludes the Iron Legion storyline for the Charr.
