Guild Wars 2 – Help the Blood Legion

“Prove yourself to the Blood Legion by culling the hostile creatures and ghosts north of Temperus Point.”

Head to the Termerus Point Waypoint. This is off to the East from the Old Duke's Estate. Head through the Temperus Camp and out the Northern gate. There you will find Blayd Gutwrencher just to the East of there. Talk with him to learn more about what is going on here:
Blayd Gutwrencher: “If you've made it this far, you must have some strength. Still, the blood Legion rules this region, and you'll need to prove your worth.”
Hero: “What could I do to prove myself?”
Blayd: “The Blood Legion are happy to accept an extra paw with our tasks or the destruction of our enemies.”
Hero A) “What tasks need going?” B) “What enemies might these be?”
Blayd A) “Patrols and caravans travel Martyr's Woods constantly with necessary supplies. You could also spur loafer around the camp into the fight.”
Blayd B) “Ghosts and spiders mostly. They think they own this forest and we're showing them the truth. You might run into some grawl as well.”
Hero C) “Ghosts are still haunting this area?” D) “Are grawl really that big a problem?” E) “Spiders making you itch?”
Blayd C) “Miserable ghosts still think they own the place. Get rid of any that you come across.”
Blayd D) “No, I suppose not. Still, they are a nuisance to these camps. Best to wipe them out now.”
Blayd E) “Amusing. Just smash any egg sacs you find, and stop the beast from harassing our caravans.”

Explore around the camp itself. Here and there you will find a Blood Legion Loafer. Talk with them and they will usually be interested in doing something. Simply choose the dialogue option that points them in the right direction. This will earn you credit. If they happen to be unconscious, all the better. That gives you 2 ticks of progress instead of just one.

Head outside the headquarters after that. It is time to poke around some and see what can be done outside the confines of the camp. The most immediate thing would be attacking the devourers that are nearby. They will attack you on sight and are not the hardest things to kill (unless it is a big group). After that start to the North, into the Matyr's Forest. There you will start to find spiders and their egg sacs. The Egg sacs will likely summon a spider hatchling on their destruction.

Head to the Northern end of the forest and head over to the West to start encountering a lot of ghost. The more to the West you go, the more you will find. Heading slightly more to the East from Martyr's Forest and you will start to encounter the grawl that were mentioned earlier. These can be a bit of a challenge if they have a few levels on you. There are some around the Northern point of the forest, but not nearly as many to the East.

When everything is done you will get the letter, “Great Job, 'Hero's Name'” with 64 copper:
“You should know that I have the greatest respect for the job you did helping us make the area around Temperus Point a safer place to conduct our business. Finally, our caracans and patrols,. Who had been beaten down by the attacks of hoards of hostile creatures and the odd ghost, can travel the roads abd byways safely.

“You were also an inspiration to the ranks who ahd begun to fall into apthy because of the overwhelming dispair brought about by our situation. Thank you again for helping us here at Temperus Point to continue our mission – Blayd Gutwrencher”
