Guild Wars 2 – Rage of the Minotaurs

Head to the Southern reaches of the Wayfarer's Foothills. You need to head toward the mouth of the river that begins near outcast's Cleft. From there you will find the starting area for the quest.

Once you have reached the circled area head to the Southeastern corner of it. You will be West of a tree with its roots in the river. You will find the first of the tracks there. Now head to the North toward the Grawlenfjrod. To the East of the Waypoint you will find the second part of the minotaur spirit's tracks. As you read this a lvl. 4 Forest Grub will appear and attack you. Time to continue to the Northwest. It is just to the West of the Bear Shrine. As it slopes upwards to a trail you will find the third set of tracks.

Follow the tracks up the hill. As you head up toward the top expect a few spiders to attack you. Just past that, as you enter the snow fall, you will find another part of the tracks. Expect to be attacked by an Ice Spider as you really look into the tracks. It, originally, would attack each time you investigated. It largely holds true here as well. From there just head along the path. It will not be long for you to reach your quarry now. Here you will find the entrance into the instance. Just head on in. Time for a little “Conversation”

Hafdan the Black (if the hero is female): “We're busy wench. Run back to Hoelbrak and sew something. This is Sons of Svanir territory. Leave the hunting to real men.”
Hafdan the Black (if the hero is male: “We're busy, weakling boy. Run back to Hoelbrak and play with your toys. This is Sons of Svanir territory. Leave the hunting to real men.”
Hero: “Not a chance. I won't let anyone harm the Minotaur spirit.”
Hafdan: “Look, brothers! He does have a brain. He's figured us out; he has to die.”

This means it is time for some fighting. It starts with one Son of Svanir and his pack of 3 wolves. They come charging at you. Handle it as best you can. Keep on the move if you are in Light Armor to avoid getting mobbed. Medium or Heavy have less to worry about. After him comes Hafdan the Black. He is lvl. 5 and comes at you with a greatsword. Keep your distance and lay into him as best you can. He is not the fastest out there (in a few senses). It is very easy to pound on him without too much concern of retaliation for a short while. Just handle him as you would a boss. It will not be too long before he folds.

Hofdan: “What is going on? Augh!”
Hero: “Why are you huntign the minotaur spirit? Tell me, you blubbering weakling, or I'll feed you to a bear.”
Hafdan: “It doesn't matter if you know. Jormag sent us a champion and we've been feeding it minotaurs. Vidkun declared the next meal should the Minotaur Spirit itself. Soon the beast will destroy Hoelbrak! The weak will be slaughtered. The strong will become stronger. Hail, Vidkun! Hail, Jormag!”
Hero: “Shut up, you idiot. I'm letting you go, but only so your pathetic friends will know I'm coming.”
Hafdan: “You do that and the next time we meet, it will be at the end of a blade.”
Hero: “And I'll tear it from your hands and stick it into your throat. Go on, run now!”

Head back to Hoelbrak after the fight. Once inside just turn to the Southwest and head to the nearby lodge. You will find Eir Stegalkin waiting in there with Garm, her Dire Wolf. Approach her to begin the conversation:
Hero: “I've tracked Minotaur to a cavern above Raven's shrine. The Sons of Svanir were there, too, tracking the same beast. I … convinced them tro tell me what they were up to. They've been rounding up minotaurs and feeding them to a dragon minion on the orders of their boss, Vidkun.”
Eir Stegalkin: “That would explain the Minotaur Spirit's rage. No wonder his children are attacking any hunter they see.”
Hero: I need your help, Eir. You know more about the dragon and its minions than anyone.”
Eir: “Of course I'll help. But I won't get in the way of your legend. My time for glory is past, and I sense yours is just beginning. To be a great hero, you need to know your enemy. I know Jormag's minions. I can show you how to fight them.”
Hero: Excellent. Meet me on the mountain, together we'll teach these Sons of Svanir a lesson they won't forget.”
