Guild Wars 2 – Help the Lionguard protect the road through the Icesteppes

“Patrol the road to Crossroads Haven, keepign the path clear and eliminating any enemies along the way. Destroy Sons of Svanir camps hidden around the Icesteppes.”
Just as you exit Icevine Dale you will find yourself at the Icesteppes Lionguard Stronghold, Twinspur Haven. Once you are there seek out Sheriff Padra.

Sheriff Padra: “Welcome to Twinspur Haven. The Lionguard watches over this area and keeps the road safe.”
Hero A) “Do you need any help?”, B) “Wait. A Sylvari? How are you in cgharge of all these Norn?”
Padra A) “Yes. The Sons of Svanir are troublesome. They're always trying to rob and murder travelers – and there are other hazards. Keep the roads clear of danger, and you'll have our thanks.
Padra B) “Lionguards give up their home loyalities and serve the city of Lion's Arch. You'll find the havens guarded by all the race of Tyria.”

Start to the North along the road itself. It is time to go looking for trouble. Along the way you will undoubtedly encounter a roadblock. These can have either a single or multiple Sons of Svanir manning them. It is not a bad way to quickly make some progress. There will also, occasionally, be Icebrood Wolf packs that need to be dealt with. It does not take too much but they can be overwhelming if they get the drop on you.

As you head forward, be sure to keep an eye over to either side of the road. There you will small Svanir Camps. At most you expect 3 Sons of Svanir to be camped at one. Just defeat them then destroy their tents to earn some progress.

For all your efforts you will get the letter, “Twinspur Haven” from Sheriff Padra with 68 copper:

“Twinspur Haven is safe and open for travelers, thanks to your efforts on our behalf. You will always have a warm welcome here. - Sheriff Padra”

Sheriff Padra will now sell the following Karma items:
Twinspur Pistol: 91 Karma
Weapon Strength: 153 – 179, +7 Power, Pistol, Level: 8
Twinspur Rifle: 140 Karma
Weapon Strength: 172 – 210, + 13 Precision, Rifle, Level: 8
Lionguard-Issue Greatsword: 189 Karma
Weapon Strength: 194 – 215, +17 Healing Power, Greatsword, Level: 13
