Darksiders 2 Walkthrough Part 17 – Tri-Stone Sidequests, Part 1

Thane: The Maker Warrior

Suggested Level: 3-5
Thane can be challenged to a fight as soon as you meet him. However until you have cleared the first dungeon it will be very one sided. After the Cauldron it is suggested you take on Thane in a fight. If you want to ensure an easy time of it, challenge him after the second dungeon, Drenchfort. Be sure to have a good stock of potions on hand as they will be a great boon in the fight.

Fighting Thane:
If you have been practicing your dodging this will not be a hard fight. Thane loves to take a moment before bringing his axe down. You need to use this time to dodge away as he fights for a good amount of damage. After that, dart in and lay in a few hits. Just keep this pattern up.

After the battle he will offer the names of 4 creatures found throughout the Forge Lands: Gorewood, Bheithir, Achidna and Argul. Be sure to talk with Thane and collect all 4 quests after you have bested him in combat. They are all in areas adjacent to where Death travels over the course of the game.

Muria: The Shaman's Craft
Reward: Grim Talisman
Suggested Level: None
This is a quest that you best acquire as soon as you can. The pieces needed are found during the first 2 dungeons and it could be very easy to miss them otherwise.
1 – Speak with Karn outside the Cauldron. He is there fighting off Construct Warriors and will gladly tell you where to find the first piece of the talisman: Stalker Bones.
2 – When you fight the Stalker inside the Cauldron itself it will drop the bones that you need.
3 – As you leave the Cauldron, talk with Karn again to learn where to get Mordant Dew
4 – Kill Stingers as you advance through the fjord to Drenchfort to collect Mordant Dew
5 – Speak with Karn again, outside the Lost Temple, to learn where to get the Carven Stone
6 – Destroy Construct Sentinels to collect the Carven Stone
7 – Return to Muria to receive the Grim Talisman
