Cthulhu for President and Whose Line is it “Fanime”? Fanime 2010

The panel on “Cthulhu for President” proved to be very interesting. The campaign itself had a recent development as they had finally found an appropriate Vice President Candidate, David LoPan. Also, to increase awareness of the campaign, they had begun the Hentai Music Video awards, to which there was a single entry that won by default. David LoPan was selected for his centuries of business experience in addition for his excellent connections to China. However, it would also be highly recommended for all women with green eyes to leave the country for his tenure as Vice President.

The second big announcement, was that the Elder One would legalize Same Sex Marriages. While Cthulhu does not particularly care about humans, there is something about equal rights and protection under the fourteenth amendment. Apparently though some people need a separate law passed to recognize this particular fact. TO help fund everything, the administration has also decided to legalize marijuana but to levy a high tax on it. Many of their experts feel that by doing so, it will help balance of the budget of the nation even as it is torn asunder by the Elder One.

The next announcement was revolving around the Death Penalty. It would be applied not only the cases it is now, but also a number of other serious crimes, like Rape, Treason, major screw ups or large scale  dread. Chtulhu feels this will help encourage Wall Street to play more evenly and help boost the world economy as it aids our own. The Death Penalty will encourage those on Wall Street to play it careful to avoid becoming subject to it.

From what we gathered, the campaign for Cthulhu to reside in the Oval office has gained some steam. If the Elder One makes it in though remains to be seen though.

On a lighter note, following the Cthulhu for President panel, we briefly attended Whose Line is it “Fanime”, offering up an improvisational show done Fanime style. Opposed to some of the more traditional means of randomly determining what the first act would be Scenes from an Internet Forum. A post had been creating in the Fanime forums to give suggestions for this part. In the end, the scenes seen were: Delightful Godzilla in his spare time, Songs that should not be in Rock Band, Things that might make you think your Doctor did not graduate from Med School, Things not to do while being mugged and the Internet gave us Keanu Reeves playing Goku. The second part of it that we were able to attend saw the performers playing Press Conference, where one has to just answer questions and use those to figure out what the Press Conference is all about. The Press Conference was held because one of the performers was being interviewed as the first man to drive an Avatar that is female. The context of that alone made it quite hilarious at times. Unfortunately, that was all the time we had to attend that particular panel, as there were a few others to visit that night.
