This part of the walkthrough covers Olivine Gym Challenge

38 - Olivine Gym Challenge

Entering into the Gym, you will find your Coach waiting for you this time. He only hasa few comments on Jasmine herself, so nothing too helpful this time. Steel Pokemon fare very poorly against Fire, Fighting and Ground type attacks. These Pokemon are generally very tough short of exploiting their weaknesses, so be ready for a fight if you do not have any.

The first person you encounter after him only congratulates you for helping Jasmine with Amphy. The only other person in Gym will do this as well, thanking you for helping out with Amphy and asking you to show that strength to Jasmine. Not too bad considering you just took down another Gym. This is leaves Jasmine at the far end of the Gym.
Hyper Potion: 1
Magnemite lvl. 30
Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Super Sonic
Magnemite lvl. 30
Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Super Sonic
Steelix lvl.  35 Holding a Sitrus Berry
Iron Tail, Screech, Sand Storm
The Magnemites will likely start with Thunderbolt and may follow it with Thunder Wave. It will persist with Thunderbolt. Any time you remove paralysis, be ready for it to use Thunder Wave to reapply the status. There is an off chance it may use Super Sonic, just giving fair warning.

The Steelix will favor Iron Tail. It will occasionally use Screech. When its health gets low enough, it will eat its berry and regain a decent amount of health. It may use Sandstorm. This will change a few things, putting the Steelix at an advantage. It will do a certain amount of damage each time, which the Steelix and other Steel Types are immune to as well as reduce the amount healed by Synthesis or Moonlight.

At the conclusion of the battle, she will concede you are a better trainer in both skill and kindness. She will then give you her badge. The Mineral Badge makes it so Pokemon up to level 70 will obey you, even those you got in trades. She will also give you TM 23, Iron Tail.

As you leave the Gym, be sure to talk with the people to learn where to go next. One will mention Mohagany Town as a place to test your mettle next. The other will suggest visiting the Lake of Rage to take advantage of Surf. So why not both, as they are very close together.
