Guild Wars 2 Walkthrough Part 11 – Wild Spirits

Head to the marker in the Hero's Moot area and say that you would like to enter the instance.

Objective: Talk to Ferghen at the Hero's Moot
Head down the slope to the far side of the fire pit. You will see Ferghen highlighted there. Along with him is Eir Stegalkin and Garm, her direwolf.
Eir: “Well, Ferghen, now what? We're here and we have the Slayer of Issormir, so it'd better be good.”
Ferghen: “Ah, the Slayer. What a sight for sore eyes. Between the two of you, I'm sure you can solve my problem. I'm headed for Wolf Shrine, but ow I've got the jitters about bringing my dolyaks there. One of the Spirits of the Wild has gone insane, attacking caravans.”
Hero: “It makes no sense for a Spirit to do that.”
Ferghen: “Exactly my problem.” I can't figure it out. I do know it's got the minotaurs here riled up. Not 'minotaur.' It's the Minotaur! It's a spirit like Bear or Wolf. I'm a tracker, by Bear's bald butt! I know the difference.
Eir: “If such a spirit exisit, it hasn't been seen in generations. Why would it show up now?”
Ferghen: “All I know is that it's out there. Once we get going, you'll see for yourself.”

Objective: Defend the caravan
Eir: “I told you, Ferghen. There's nothing out here.
Ferghen: “You just wait, kiddo. You'll see. Keep watch of those bushes. And up in the trees!
Eir: “Minotaurs? In the trees?
Ferghen: “It's not some mere minotaur! It's a Spirit of the Wild! The granddaddy of all minotaurs! Hush now, I heard something!

Keep up with Ferghen and stay alert for danger. IT goes to the south along the path. When he hears something, begins battle. A good number of minotaur bulls will attack the caravan. You must fend them off.

Ferghen: You see? That's not normal!
Eir: “I agree. Something's driving those minotaur to attack, but what?”
Ferghen: “The Spirit! It's here to protect its kind. What's gotten it so frantic?

Move forward with Ferghen. You will be attacked by a second group of minotaurs when you hear:”
“By my father's hobnailed boots! Minotaurs! A whole stampede!”

After fending off a third wave, head through to the Shrine. At the shrine, there is a massive rush of Minotaur. As you enter the area,  Ferghen will call out, “What was that on the cliff? Did you see that? I thought I saw ...

Many minotaurs will just head on through while the rest charge through. Focus only on the ones that stay in the area.
Ferghen: “It was Minotaur! The Spirit! He's driving them crazy I tell you!”

After this part of the instance, everyone will talk again
Ferghen: “If not for you two, this caravan would have been crushed flatter than hammered mud. DO you believe me about the Spirit of the Wild now?”
Eir: “I agree the minotaurs are acting strangely, but that does not mean we're dealing with a Spirit of the Wild.”
Ferghen: “You youngsters know nothing. Theis isn't normal! Something power is provoking the guardian spirit of the minotaurs.”
Eir: “Even if that's true, it doesn't explain what's going on. What is the spirit reacting to? What is it trying to accomplish?”
Ferghen: “There's one way to find out. I saw the spirit down by the river, in a form solid enough to leave tracks. An enterprising tracker could follow the trail.”
Hero: “Leave it to me. I'll go to the river and follow the tracks until I figure this out.”
Eir: “While you're doing that, I'll be at my homestead in Hoelbrak if you need me. Good luck. If Ferghen's beast exist,  I know you'll find it.”

Complete this and you will be to choose from these rewards and receive a Crude Salvage Kit:
Rawhide Bracers: Defense: 15, +2 Power, Fine Medium Hand Armor
Studded Leather Bracers: Defense: 15, +2 Vitality, Fine Medium Hand Armor
Marksman's Bracers: Defense: 15, +2 Precision, Fine Medium Hand Armor
