Trail of Corruption Walkthrough
Go to the Alehouse Notice Board:
Goal
All manner of tasks are posted here. Successful completion of each earns a base reward of 10,000 gold and 5,000 experience

Objectives
Acquire the Tribute Ledger
Region: Gran Soren
Reward: 30,000G
Request
I've orders to keep watch on a certain individual and the tribute he pays the duke. In truth, there's evidence that a portion of the gift is being diverted and usurped for personal gain. Had I some record of the tribute, it would serve in a formal inquest. I welcome any information.
The reward for notice board quests is the base reward, plus the quest specific reward. So the reward for this quest is actually 40,000G
Go to the Noble Quarter and enter Fournival Manor. Climb up to the second floor, enter the dining room and and locate the Gift Ledger in the corner, between the fireplace and a bookshelf:
Gift Ledger
A list of presents from a rich benefactor. Some of the notes imply the gifts were purchased to launder ill-gotten coins.
You now need to report back to Arsmith. Go to the fountain square and enter Arsmith's Alehouse. Give the Gift Ledger too Arsmith.
This completes the quest, Trail of Corruption.

This quest is also a Notice Board Quest, starting at the Alehouse Notice Board.
A Lost Cause
Acquire a Stoneskin Purse
Reward: Golden Bastard x1
Request
Somewhere in my drunken revels I seem to have misplaced my purse. I recall splashing about at our riverside festivus, but the rest is a fog. Should some kind fellow happen upon it, I beg they would see it back to me.
The hint for finding the purse is that it is near a river. Go west from Gran Soren, and follow the river, past the Catacombs Rear Passage 2 and Nameless Falls. (northwest of the Miner's Hut). The area you are after is just a bit to the west of the Nameless Fall marker (see your map), immediately after the river turns southwest. Fight the Saurians there, and eventually one of them will drop:
Snakeskin Purse
A fine purse fashioned from white snakeskin, likely dropped by accident. It holds a remarkable sum.
Take the Snake Skin Purse and return it to Arsmith in Gran Soren.
This completes the quest, A Lost Cause
