Guild Wars 2 Walkthrough Part 5 – A Noble's Work Is Never Done

Objective 1: Talk to Faren
Head to the portal marked in the Salma Distrance right by the Salma Waypoint. Head over to the door and cross through if your hero is around the suggested level. Head over to the marker and go inside.

Once you are in the instance. Head over to Faren, who is to the left and up a slope from where you start.

Lord Faren: “Ah, the hero of Shaemoor returns! Come and see how friends and neighbors alike have turned out to welcome you home!”
Hero: “A party, Faren? For me? Or is this just an excuse to get your friends together and see what's in my wine cupboard?”
Faren: “Nonsense! Heroes are always popular. These nice people simply insisted on congratulating you can celebrating your brave victory.”
Hero: “And you insist on breaking out my finest food and drink for the occasion.”
Faren: “You deserve no less. Still, I can't take all the credit. Your household staff was most helpful, even eager, to facilitate the process. I wish my servants loved me half as much. But then, I am lovable in other ways. Ha ha.”
Hero: “And the less said about that, the better. Now, wipe off that smirk, and let's go enjoy my best roast duck and brandy.”

Objective 2: Enjoy the party. Talk with Faren afterwards.
Head forward and to the right. Head over to the magician.

Wozmack the Magnificent
Talk him and enjoy the various tricks that he does. He has a number of corny jokes as well.

Once his act is over, you can talk with a number of people around the party. After you have had your fill, head over to Faren and talk with him. This will trigger the next event in the instance.

Faren: “Done enjoying the festivities, old friend?”
Hero: “Yes, I think I'm done.”
Faren: “I'm outgrowing the party myself. I'll tell the servants we're leaving”
Hero: “Sounds good. Thanks.”

Objective 3: Defeat the bandits
Just as Faren leaves, bandits attack the party. Time to get back into combat again. Defeat all the ones that are around the immediate area. There are a good 6 bandits in the area that need to be dealt with. After that, head through the archway that Faren got taken through, to the North.

Hero: “I heard Faren shouting. Where is he?”
Servant: “I saw those ruffians draging him down the street. They;re going to kill him!”
Hero: “Calm down. See to the other guest and make sure no one else has been harmed. I'll go after Lord Faren.”

Objective 4: Find and rescue Faren
As you head north, you will encounter 2 more bandits in your path. Wqhen you make it into the square, 3 more will be blocking your way in. Now head to the East and head for the marker. Just off the square to the East you will find another pair of bandits that are by a house. Take them out and head inside the house they are by. Once inside, look to the back of it. There you will find some stears leading up. Take them all the way up to the top. A few more Bandits are in your way.

Once you make it to the top you will find their leader. This is Swindlehand Sal. He is a bit stronger than the rest of his crew. Still with all the practice you have got now fighting bandits he should not be much harder than the rest of them. Once he goes down, it is time to talk with Faren to finish out this quest:

Faren: “Am I pleased to see you! Though if you wanted me to leave, a simple 'Begone, freeloader!' would have sufficed.”
Hero: “I'll make a note of that. Any idea who these hooligans were or what they wanted?”
Faren: “Not really. I did hear them discussing a farmhouse in Shaemoor. They were going to lock me up there with the rest of their hostages.”
Hero: “Then I have more work to do. I can't save you and leave the others to rot. Bad form, you know.”
Faren: “Count me in. I may not be a centaur-killing berserker like you, but I can take care of myself. I'll meet you there.”
