Guild Wars 2 Walkthrough Part 1 – Fury of the Dead
Defend Smokestead from Ghosts
Objective 1: Report to Legionnaire Tosia Domesplitter
Head straight North to the first marker NPC.
Torsia Domesplitter: “Just in time soldier. The ghost army's been bashing that gate for weeks. They've finally broken through. Fight yout way to the front and report to Centurion Krysknife for orders”
Hero: “For the legions!”
Objective 2: Fight your way to the front
As you press forward, you have a number of Ascalionian Ghosts to defeat. Any that glow after you defeat them will have Globs GloppyGoo. Make it past the barriers and out the door to find Krysknife downed.
Centurion Gracchus Krysknife: “I need your help, soldier. Tribune Brimstone has ordered me to the crypt, but I'm too torn up to make it.
Hero: “What's so important that the Blood Legion tribune is there?”
Krysknife: “The ghost of Duke Barradin is far more powerful than we thought. His army just broke through our defenses. Rytlock's about to fight him head-on. If he succeeds, it'll be weeks before the ghost reforms and we can rebuild our perimeter”.
Hero: “On my way”.
Objective 3: Get to the Crypt Gate
Head West from the Victor's Presidium. Follow the road a short ways and you will find the entrance to the cyrpt itself in short order as a cave to the east. There will ghosts all along the way. Just asfter you arrive and have dealt with a few ghosts, Legionnaire Risa Gallowfoil approach the hero
Legionnaire Risa Gallowfoil: Barradin's really got his minions in a rage this time. Tribune Brimstone went down into the crypts to lead the counterattack. So why are you still up here, soldier?”
Hero: I'm on my way
Objective 4: Join up with Rytlock Brimstone's unit
Head down and into the crypt itself. Take the first right as you fight through the depths of the cyrpts. Follow it to the left then right. Just through the third door you will find Duke Barradin and all his fighters. Attack everyone in your way and make it over to the statue to defeat the Duke's Ghost. Just use your best attacks and do not worry about dying this is a short fight that the NPC's are backing you up.
