Eterna City Team Galactic Headquarters

Now that you have your new badge, you can go into Team Galactic’s Headquarters and  rescue the owner to the Cycle Shop.

Take a moment and use your new HM, Cut, to teach it to a Pokemon in your party as you need it to access the building. You can also take a little time to head into the Eterna Forest and into the Old Chataeu. If you go there at night, and find the possessed TV, you can catch the elusive Rotom, an Electric/Ghost Pokemon.

Head to the Northern part of Eterna, to the building with the little trees in front of it. Hack down one, some, of trees in your way and walk into the building. Immediately when you enter a member of Team Galactic notices you and walks over. He reveals himself to be Looker of the International Police. He tells you about how the leader seems to be keeping his minions in the dark about their true goal. He then tells you about getting around in the building. There are two staircases in the building, one is a trap and the other will lead you to the top, the captured Cycle Shop Owner, and the leader. Looker also mentions that the members of Team Galactic do not seem like the smartest so the route up could be fairly obvious.

Most of the members of Team Galactic on this floor will just tell about some grand plan to use the power of Pokemon to reshape the world.

As you look around, you will see two staircases: The Right Staircase (A) and the Left Staircase (B)
(B) The left staircase is guarded by a pair of Galactic Grunts. Walking toward the stairs between them will have them challenge you to a Dual-Pokemon battle. Their teams are:

Zubat lvl. 17 and Stunky lvl. 18. Zubat lvl. 16 and Glameow lvl. 18

You get 1400 for winning. When you go up the stairs you find another member of Team Galactic. When you talk to them, the trainer challenges you to a battle, using a lvl. 19 Croagunk. You get 720 for winning. Behind the Grunt you will find an X Speed in an item ball. This turns out to be a dead end.

(A) The right staircase, beyond the small dividing wall, has a note by it, reading “The path you chose leads to glory”. After going up these stairs you will a member of Team Galactic just below you, partly covered by a crate, talking about how Team Galactic will find a new power source. Head down, weaving around the boxes, then turn right and head up to see an pair of stairs, each with a member of Team Galactic near it, looking away.

The one on the right just has the member of Team Galactic near it. Talking with them only has them tell you they are looking to harness a new form of energy. Going up it just leads to a small room with a Galactic Grunt who will challenge you if you walk toward them. They have a lvl. 16 Stunky, lvl. 16 Croagunk and lvl. 16 Glameow. Behind them, in the bottom right corner of the room you can barely see an item ball containing X Special.

The one on the left has a note on the wall near it, reading “Let us make progress together! Team Galactic”. If you talk to the member of Team Galactic they will challenge you to a Pokemon battle, using a level 19 Glameow.

Going up the stairs, you find a hallway, follow it down and to the right to find another two stairways.

The right staircase has a scientist, who will challenge you when you cross in front of him. He has a lvl. 20 Kadabra, a more powerful Pokemon for this area. He will also use an X Special, which will boost the Kadabra’s already formidable Special Attack. A quick, moderate strength physical attack will floor this Pokemon. Going up these stairs leads to another small room with two item balls, containing a Blue Shard and a Revive.

The left staircase has a Grunt who will just talk to you and a sign reading “Question not and follow this path! The road to success!” Going up the stairs lead to a larger hallway leading down and to the right. Another sign rest on the right side of the opening the man is standing in, reading “Working for world peace. Team Galactic“. This leads you to two people facing each other, the owner of the Cycle Shop and a Commander in Team Galactic. The owner questions why Team Galactic wants these Pokemon. If you talk with the Commander, it will trigger a battle.

Commander Jupiter - 1840 for winning
Zubat lvl. 21 - Wing Attack, Giga Drain,
Skuntank lvl. 23 - Night Slash, Poison Gas, Screech, Smoke Screen(Holding Sitrus Berry)

Once you beat Jupiter she means Mars, a cohort of hers, has finished collecting energy from the Valley Windworks and that their boss is researching ancient myths around Pokemon. She vanishes and the man behind approaches you and tells you to head over to the Cycle Shop for a reward.

To the right of the Commander you can find an Up-Grade, a hold item key to the evolution of Porygon. If you have not fully explored the building this is a good time to do so, as all the members of Team Galactic have cleared out.

Head out the building, cut down the tree, head down, past the Pokemon Center and below the Pokemon Center, just to the right is the Cycle Shop. Head in, after a brief pause with Cythnia, and talk to the man you saw in the Team Galactic building, standing in the opening in the counter space.

Cynthia will come up and offer to give you a Pokemon Egg, which will hatch into Togepi. To get this egg, you need an open space in your party, so quick run up to the Pokemon Center, deposit one and get your Egg!

Next, the Cycling Road.
