Less then 2 weeks way from the launch of the new Star Trek MMO, Star Trek Online, We interviewed STO's QA tester, John Thompson.

Christin Thompson and John Thompson
(Chrstine Thompson - Lead Writer, left, and John Thompson, QA Tester, Right)

RarityGuide: What do you do in Star Trek Online?

John:
I work in the QA Department. Go through reported bugs, document errors, make sure they are fixed.

RG: How is Beta going? You getting many reports of new bugs?

John:
We are, many of them we already know about because we have already found them and are working on fixing them.

RG: How many outstanding bugs are there?

John:
The team has been doing a very good work in fixing all the bugs. I would say 90% of the documented bugs have been fixed.

RG: Any major bugs left? Like something that would prevent the game from launching on schedule?

John:
No, nothing major.

RG: Did you work in QA for Champions Online as well?

John: Yes.

RG: Compared to the state Champions Online was 2 weeks before launching, how does Star Trek Online look in term of bugs and stability?

John:
Star Trek Online is in a much better shape then what champions online was the same time before launch.
