This tutorial tells you how to complete the side quest Shadow Play, and get the "Whats Your Sign" trophy/achievement. We include maps, detailed instructions, as well as images of how each shadow symbol is supposed to look like.

From the west side of the movie theater building, in Chastain Heights, head north on Brite Street until you reach the corner of the street as it turns left. To your right, find the door to a loft, where the sidequest Shadow Play will start. Climb up some stairs, and find a room with a giant table that has a map on it. You get an objective, to locate the shadow sigils on a map. There are two candles on the table. Use your lighter to light both those candles. You should be carrying a lighter at this stage, but in the event you do not or if you lost your lighter, there is another lighter on the first floor of this house, on a table near the entrance.

The candles reveal hidden symbols. Examine the map again and note the location of those symbols. Observe that the location of one of the symbols, is the building in which you are in.

1) Shadow Symbol: Soul Eye

Explore the room. On one of the couches, you find:

There is a small cabinet in this room with an old telephone on it. Near the phone, there is some sort of base. Use the soul eye on the base. Use your UV flashlight to shine through the base and onto the wall, Rotate the base so that it is parallel to the wall with the symbol in front of it. Switch to regular flashlight and aim it so that the shape is illuminated.



Soon, the soul eye disappears, turning into a soul-eye token. If this doesn't happen, keep playing with your flashlight, aiming it at the wall and switching between UV and normal light mode.

Grab the souleye token and place it on the map.

2) Shadow Symbol: Four

The "Four" symbol is a bit to the NW, in a cardboard box on the side of the road. Pick it up and you will receive:

Go to an alley, to the south, there is another brass base there. Place the Four Symbol on the base and use your forensic flashlight on it as before. First, rotate the symbol right, and shine your UV light on it to create the left half of the symbol. Then, rotate the symbol left, creating the right half of the symbol. Switch between UV light and normal light, and shine until the symbol is illuminated. Grab the Four Token that is created.



3) Shadow Symbol: Healing

Go to Pearl Creek, to the corner of Lansdale Avenue and Cook Street. Find a cardboard box on the southwest part of the corner and get:

Healing
Caudeceus, two serpents wrapped around a central rod.

After getting the healing item,  head down the street and turn left through the gate, then left again through an alley, and find a barrel with the brass base on it. Again, you need to create both right and left halves of the shadows to complete the symbol. Refer to the image below if you are stuck or are having problems.



Once you are done illuminating the whole symbol, you obtain the Healing Token of Caudeceus, an alchemical sign of balance.

4) Shadow Symbol: Enlightenment

Still in Pearl Creek, locate the construction site, between Laymond Avenue and Lansdale Ave. From a crate on the ground there, pick up:

Enlightenment
An arrangement of five figures within a square.

Go back around the block, and into the Pearl Creek Underground entrance on Laymond Ave, the same place where you did the Homeless Man quest. Slip through some barrels and locate the brass base near the wall. Stick the fragment onto the base, rotate it once, and shine your flashlight on it  from behind and to the left, to get the Enlightenment Token: "We all possess the four levels of physical matter and are able to ascend to the fifth".



5) Shadow Symbol: Harmony

The last symbol to create, this one requires TWO different fragments. Go to pleasant river and up on King Ave. Enter the control tower to the left, just before the drawbridge. Climb the ladder and grab the piece from on top of the box. Then pull the lever to lower the drawbridge if you haven't done so already. Climb back down the ladder and exit the control tower, run down and past the base (which is located on top of a trash can), past a roundabout, through a couple of doors, and locate the other part on the right, inside a box that's laying on the ground.

You should now possess in your inventory:

Harmony, 1st Part
Also a sign of health and the marriage of heaven and earth.

Harmony, 2nd part
Used as a protective emblem among alchemists and magicians alike

Head back to the base. Place the first piece on it, rotate, then shine your light on it, then stick the second piece. You want to make a star, or pentagram of sorts. Turn it to the right, shine the flashlight on it, then rotate it the other way and shine your flashlight again. Get the Harmony Token when you are done: "The pentacle is a symbol of harmony, health, and mystic powers."



After you have collected all five tokens, go back to the room where the quest started, put all the tokens on the map and move them to their respective locations on top of each symbol.



You unlock the following trophy/achievement:

What's Your Sign?
Completed the "Shadow Play" Side Quest.

Also, as a reward for completing this side quest, on the table, a Demon Statue appears, which you can pick up and use as a weapon.
