Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword Walkthrough Part 30 – The Shipyard

Now that you have a “proper” sea chart, it is time to head for the shipyard. Set a direct course or just sail around to get there. This time you will have to deal with some Bokoblins and Spumes, so hopefully you practiced a little during the last voyage. Still, hang to the outside and you will have minimal trouble getting there.

Once at the Shipyard you are given a quick visual tour. This looks to be very fun with a lot of roller coaster goodness and some jumping thrown in for good measure. Follow the Skipper's directions to the Mine-cart bay. You will need to fight some Lizalfos but the sword upgrade makes them a bit easier to deal with now. Stop at the save statue on the way and update your file. After that, take down the pair of Lizalfos. Do note that this is the best place to get lizard tails if you have been needed them for upgrading your weapons and items. You only need a total of seven for every upgrade in the game that requires it.

Go into the Mine Cart Bay to encounter another Goron. He points out to you where to find the “safety” information. Go over them to learn the controls. After that, approach the mine cart and hop in. This is a great training course just to learn how to use the leaning to get the maximum amount of speed and a bit on how not to tip over. Head straiught on after you get out of the mine cart into the next building. After you beat the Acharas inside head to the right. Do note there is a zipline shortcut leading back to the start of the area here. In the next building you find a second mine cart. Ride that over to the next stop, again, practice the leaning and give the remote a few flicks to get a feel for jumping. This course also introduces you to switching tracks. The first bit will circle until you turn right after going around the bend. Once you clear that, lean to the right. Once you pass through the archway, put on the brakes briefly so you can make the right turn you need to. Pay close attention to the paths in front of you. Thankfully those which are deadly are marked with signs so be sure to lean away from those.

Once you finish this mine cart ride, save. There is a fight coming up but there is some cleaning to do before hand. You need to use the Gust Bellows to clear away the sand. Start with the large clump of sand in the center. Inside is a Moldarach. While this thing was tough before, it should be easier now. Each claw takes six hits while the eye needs four hits. Fi will tell you after this fight there is no chance of finding a useful clue here. Take her advice and head for the door that opened after you beat the Moldarach. Now head out and over to the Skipper to return these findings. He will now suggest looking for it inside the Pirate's Stronghold. You will find the stronghold in the northern part. It is only a quick boat ride away.
